We based everything from the history and observation, and the human logic that basically it is the human nature to create the mess in our planet.

As usual I am oversimplifying this issue.
If we had a chance to start again would we be where we are now, or a better dimention?

Let me transalte the above.
What I meant is that the situation of this world is not that rosy, wars, poverty, racism etc... you name it.

Obviously there is also some good, but I am a cynical.

So if we had a chance to start from the beggining, provided we are aware what can happen if everything goes wrong, would we be better off or really, that is the way we are therefore it would not change?

First off define where the Beginning would be? When Homo Sapiens first evolved, the end of the Ice age, the first civilisations, etc? Douglas Adams mentions in The Hitch-Hikers Guide to the Galaxy that "many were increasingly of the opinion that they'd all made a big mistake in coming down from the trees in the first place. And some said even the trees had been a bad move, and no one should have ever left the oceans".

As for making a mess of the planet, it the price we pay for progress. Fortunately because of progress we now know that we are causing problems and we are trying to solve them. 200 Years ago when the Industrial revolution kicked off no one considered what would happen if they continued building factories. They didn't have the knowledge, or even comprehend the scale of things. As for wars it is a throw back to our primitive social side. Look at colonies of animals. Chimps will fight chimps from another colony, meerkay colonies will fight other colonies. Our fights are usually over the same things as well, territory, power, being number one. They only way we can stop wars is by trying to suppress our Id, and that isn't easy. How many times have you felt a rightous anger at someone or something?

There is a question I saw once:
If you could be any animals what would you be?
Answer: You are already an animal.
It seems that people don't like to be reminded of this fact and somehow think we are above every other animals, but psychology and animals research is increasingly showing things that we thought of as purely human is wrong. Chimps make tools, express love, are self aware. Elephants have basic understanding of abstract ideas such as numbers and maths. So as Douglas Adams says, do we go back to the seas?
 
Wow...another question already? ( and somehow I hear some small, barely audible voice in the back of my conscious saying, as though through big smile....'well, that's me!)

Well, what's interesting to me, is, that a number of subjects in this sub-forum are already in process on supporting the conclusion which shows that the question is meaningless. Now don't get me wrong, please, and don't misconstrue my intention here. I am not putting the OP down, or trying to make it look bad or something, am simply expressing the fact that it would not be a topic found in serious philosophical or scientific, or even religious discussions, due to the indefiniteness of the problem the question inherently contains in its presupposition.

If it were just for imaginative mental exercise, I think it would be fun to play around with. You'll have to forgive me, however, for the moment, because I do not have that time. Thus will only say this...

If suddenly the homo sapien were back at the moment that the first clans started to mass produce in agricultural settings, rather than that of the hunter- gather, and yet had knowledge of all the other clans, groups, and nation-groups all over the world, their languages, culture, religious-belief systems, the animal continuum, all the empirical knowledge we have now...including the results of future possible wars, even, there would likely be little difference in many ways.
 
All the above are Human thought, obviously.
Therefore we can't go beyond that, so subsequently we only rely to our logic whatever that is.
We think to know already that almost definitely we do come from the homo sapien, or whatever species.
So by our logic, or mine, i should conclude that whatever way we had started, we would still create problems, and therefore that is the way it is and will be.
So If I go by this logic, what is the point to change whatever it should in a better shape? And what is better for some is not for other.
Yeah the beautiful word of "BALANCE" very abstract to me.
Anyway, thanks for the input.
 
perhaps, if all humanity began at the North and South poles, the world would be very different. I think that excessiveness may not be taken lightly. I believe that extremes would have more baring and religion or technology may be more powerful. With challenges come the search for solutions.
