I'm miles away from the person I want to be with, and miles away from an underrstanding of if we'll ever be together again... So for all of you people who feel like kicking a puppy today.... this is your thread.

Isn't It A Pity

by George Harrison

Isn't it a pity
Now, isn't it a shame
How we break each other's hearts
And cause each other pain
How we take each other's love
Without thinking anymore
Forgetting to give back
Isn't it a pity

Some things take so long
But how do I explain
When not too many people
Can see we're all the same
And because of all their tears
Their eyes can't hope to see
The beauty that surrounds them
Isn't it a pity

Isn't it a pity
Isn't is a shame
How we break each other's hearts
And cause each other pain
How we take each other's love
Without thinking anymore
Forgetting to give back
Isn't it a pity

Forgetting to give back
Isn't it a pity
Forgetting to give back
Now, isn't it a pity

(6 times, fade the 6th:)
What a pity
What a pity, pity, pity
What a pity
What a pity, pity, pity

ps. George was the better Beatle than Lennon... In every way. ;)

I don't like any holiday created by hallmark😏

I dont like holiday's created by chocolate maufacturer's designed to lure unsuspecting girls and women into thinking they have to purchase $500 million of the stuff just to get some ungrateful guy to maybe, possibly, give them something in return one stupid month later.

Oh and I hate the "giri-cho" even more, literally translated obligatory-chocolate

One more thing that was added a few years back to my ever growing list of things that make me go Hmmm! here in Japan.

And here I waslamenting that yet another year has gone by without receiving any honmyou chocolate......😊

We learnt something new yesterday in school :) Pretty cool stuff :)
A Haiku/whatsItCalledIDontKnow/5-7-5 thinggy.

バレンタイン、

関係ないよ、

私には。

okie, not exactly 5-7-5 :D but... It'll do.

Oh I received a few from my female cooworker's, which were actually given with the warmth and affection of dead frozen tuna.:shiver: :box:

I will "return" the gesture next month with the 99% cacao chocolate. If anyone has tasted the stuff, not matter if it is healthy for you or not, to me anyway it is some pretty nasty edible whatever.

How does one write in Kanji of what Okinawans call uchinanchuu?

I got chocolate from my coworkers, some nice boxed stuff. Theres only 2 women in my section, and we get on really well, so I was happy about that. Spent a good hour today just talking about my plans for when I go on holiday next month ("... and I'll be going swimming, with dolphins. The usual things" "WITH DOLPHINS?!?!?!?!? *melts down at the idea*")

Sounds better than what I got! I never would have known it was Valentine's Day if it weren't for Jref!

Oh, I've tried that stuff--awful!!

Cheers to yukio_micheal for starting this thread! And, Obeika & Mitsuo, I can't agree with you more!! 😎

Fortunately we Dutchies don't do all the chocolate stuff. Many "celebrate" it by giving each other roses or whatever, but most of us think it's "commercial b***s***". 😊

I was wondering about the whole "white day" thing.. Is that a Japanese invention or do they do it in the US too? I had actually never heard of it!!

This is the first year in four years I havnt had a western or Japanese valentines.

For four years it seemed as good an excuse as any to admit feelings openly in the public eye without totaly being made to feel like an idiot.

Now its just back to being another empty shallow "holiday" that glaringly exposes my disatisfaction with aspects of my life.

In valentines case, my blatant romantic isolation.

But then again, I suppouse I'm now a free agent. :) No nagging, no economical drains, always gotta look for some upsides to a situation.

Even if in really bad ones the only upside is that eventually it wont be so bad.

:p

[/saying more about his personal life then is probably wise]

Likewise.
V-day I think we all ignore for its utter lameness of pre-packaged
all sizes fit one tv show fantasy this is the way to "love".

and
On x-mas friends and I celebrate the "nobody loves me christmas"
and bring one purposefully crappy gift from maybe a dollar store of 2nd
hand store for random exchange.
:p
sure wish fair trade chocolate was cheaper

I'm not a v-day fan, or really any holiday type of fan, as I'm not religious and I don't buy into the commercial holidays.

But my s/o feels obligated into making the day nice for me, so he made me Unagidon last night ^___^

Hey, I got a chocolate in the mail today!

It's not a honmei choco nor is it a giri choco, but it really made my day.

Knowing that someone has thought of you is truly one of best feelings in the world.

Mmm can I make a guess....was it from Mom?🙂

Sorry about that but you are right, when it comes from someone that "matters" it really make a difference.

Actually, no, it's from a girl who I briefly dated and just got married last month.

My mother would never ship anything overseas; she's far too cheap for that! :p

But it is nice to be remembered.

Eat and enjoy!
