Thank You Note Help...

I have just done my jap exam and want to write a thank you note to go with present to my jap tutor. Unfortunately I am not sure of how to say some things. Please if you can help me it would be good I just want someone to check over and check especially particles =-=" before give to her like to be as accurate as possible.

今年あなたで教えることが楽しました。
This year I have enjoyed being taught by you.
これがりましたが、私があなたを手つだうことがもらった後で、もっと自しんおあるになりました。
I was afraid, but after you helped me I have become more confident.
あなたは日本語と手つだってから、しけんを通る知りました。
Because you helped me with Japanese, I know I will pass exams.
ありがとうございました。

It's nice to write a thank you note to your teacher in Japanese after, I'm sure your teacher will appreciate it.

This is OK.

あなたは先生がすてきで親切でした。
You have been a wonderful and kind teacher.

あなたは素晴らしくて親切な先生でした。
But in Japanese, to address people with あなた when you know their name does not sound natural. Especially when adressing people whose title is above you (like teachers, boss) may sound rude. It is safe to call them by the title, or name with title/honorific.

e.g.
先生は素晴らしくて親切な先生でした。
○○先生は素晴らしくて親切な先生でした。
（○○さんは素晴らしくて親切な先生でした。）

今年あなたで教えることが楽しました。
This year I have enjoyed being taught by you.

今年先生に教えてもらって楽しかったです。
～に・・・・てもらう = being ・・・・by ~
Literal translation is "This year I was taught by you and enjoyed".
もらう has a connotation of appreciation/gratitude in this case.
もらう itself means "to get/receive" and it implies receiving some kind of favour.

これがりましたが、私があなたを手つだうことがもらった後で、もっと自しんおあるになりました。
I was afraid, but after you helped me I have become more confident.

To be afraid can be translated as こわがる but ～がる is used only to describe 2nd/3rd person, but not yourself.

あなたを手伝う means (I) help you. を indicates its preceding word is the direct object of the verb.

To be confident is 自信がある.
ある means "to exist"
To get/become confident is 自信がつく.

（日本語が？）こわかったのですが、先生に手伝ってもらった後は、もっと自信がつきました。
I was afraid (of Japanese language?), but after you helped me, I became more confident.

あなたは日本語と手つだってから、しけんを通る知りました。
Because you helped me with Japanese, I know I will pass exams.

と means "together". "With" in the above sentence means different thing, not together.
to help someone with something is ～を手伝う.

"to know" have several meanings, in this case it means you can tell.
In that sense, わかる is better wording than 知る. 知る sounds more like "to get to know".

To pass the exam is 試験に通る
試験に受かる is more commonly used.

先生に日本語を手伝ってもらったので、試験に受かるとわかりました。
Because you helped me with Japanese, I know I will pass exams.
Though grammatically correct, this sentence somehow does not sound natural.
To convey what you mean to say, perhaps using 思う is better.
先生に日本語を手伝ってもらったので、きっと試験に受かると思います。
Because you helped me with Japanese, I think I'll surely pass exams.

Could you please use full word "Japanese" (it's only 8 alphabets) or if you really need to use abbreviation, "JP"?

Ahh sorry :sorry: long day I know it offends some people by that stage was about to fall asleep 2 exams in one day 6hours straight >.< just little tired すみません。

Mm I know it sounds weird say あなたbut I wasn't sure using the name sounds kind of funny in English and wasn't sure if make quite sense that way. I'll use this then クローディア先生But I will use it sometimes I'm not sure of things because even though I am native English speaker I grew up in Hong Kong and still have problems knowing stuff in English and finding how to say in Japanese.
Ah yes I have only just learnt もらう this year but just as to receive I knew was meant to be as a favour.

Haha it is lucky I can read Chinese otherwise I would have difficulty with the kanji. Many of this I have written not knowing the structures or heard anything like it.
ありがとうございました。It means a lot to me for your help. Although my teacher is cantonese I thought would be very special to write in Japanese ありがとうございました.
