Actually Tekken 5 came out for the U.S. awhile ago, about a few months ago. I have to tell you, I really like it alot, especially the ability to buy custom gears and put them on your character, which makes it cool, plus you can give yourself a name, so when you play other people will know you by your title
.
From Tekken 4 to Tekken 5, I would have to say, the balance issue is much better, where as in Tekken 4 Jin Kazama pratically broke the game because he was just so overpowered, and abusable...just think at the biggest tournament here int he U.S. called Evolution for 2004 with Tekken4 the top 6 winners in Tekken 4 where all Jin players, so that goes to show. Anyways, Tekken 5, they still have their share of overpowered characters, but nothing within the range of Tekken 4 Jin, Steve/Bryan/Nina are extremely good.
I hate Steve's 1,2's or d/f+1+2, he's so fast, powerful and safe, it's ridiculous, Bryan is like Steve, but more punishable with a wall game that destroys, then you have Nina, poke, poke, poke, oki's that give you a heart attack. Devil Jin is awesome, he plays alot like Tekken Tag Jin but is definetly not as a good as Tekken Tag Jin, however I would say he's up there as one of the best, Feng is awesome too, fast, powerful, Marshall Law is also good, very fast, excellent high risk high reward moves, solid wall game.
Jin in Tekken5 wasn't considered all that great, especially when compared to his Tekken4 counterpart, but imo, he's got solid mixup's, a good wall game, only problem now, with the abscence of of JFLS(Just Frame Laser Scraper) which was his ultimate launcher, he's kinda crappy on launchers, since majority of them can be punished. He's got excellent air juggles though, very damaging too, anywhere from 50-65% damage, so that's very good. However, Angel Jin as he's called from S. Korea plays a mean Jin, and is able to beat characters like Steve, Nina, and Bryan, which goes to show how much potential Jin really has, even though he's not the cheese he was once.
Anyways, Tekken 5 has alot to offer, btw, no fighting game will and shall ever be balanced, live with it, that's how it is, Tekken 5 is a great game, hope you people in the U.K. enjoy it as much as I did
