"te" +miru (try and see form) and tsukeru

When you use te form plus miru (for try and see), do you use the kanji for miru, or is it treated like an auxiliary and written in kana?

On a related question, I see tsukeru (付ける) at the end of many verbs (みつける, きずつける, うけつける) and by itself (おきをつける、おきをつけて). Again, do you use the kanji, or is it an auxiliary?

For an auxiliary verb "to try", the hiragana みる is usually used. The kanji 見る can mean "to do something and (then) see". ～て、見る or ～てから見る would be more common for this case, though.

In Japanese grammar, verbs attached to the -te form are called 補助動詞 "auxiliary verb". つける belongs to 後項動詞 "second compound verb". I think the kanji 付ける is more common, but hiragana is also used. It's quite the same also for a verb 気を付ける
