Surai: Yeah, the perfect season was indeed a LONG time ago! I was all of 13 when the Dolphins ran the table. We'll never see another team go undefeated again, I mean if the Colts with their video game offense couldn't get the job done, then no one ever will.

I don't think Manning's missed his window in Indy, but I'd say he is running out of time, and if Edge goes bye-bye via free agency, that's one less weapon to help Peyton win. As for the Giants, they've got quite a ways to go before they're ready to compete for the Super Bowl.

I don't think the Giant's are that far off. They made it to the playoffs this year with a young QB, a great RB, and a very good Defense. Little Manning will mature more and that O line will improve also. They pick up another WR from free agency and wham...there they are! Not to mention that Eli tends to run with luck on his side.

Well, the Giants caught a break, what with my Eagles having thoroughly imploded in 2005. If Philly hadn't gone south, thanks to injuries and T.O., we probably would've repeated as NFC East champions. As for the Giants, Eli Manning did play well, but he needs more seasoning before he becomes the class of the division as he's still mistake prone. I'd hazard to say that if it weren't for Tiki Barber and a suffocating defense, New York wouldn't have gotten far. Eli needs to improve on what he did in '05 if the Giants are to stay on top, Washington and Dallas aren't going anywhere, not with Super Bowl winning coaches running those teams, and if my Birds recover from last season's disaster, they'll give the G-Men a run for their money too!

Washington still has QB issues though...Brunell's not getting any younger! Dallas...maybe, Philly? Too much to recover from...at least I think so. Denver has a good shot, Tampa Bay could make another run...especially as Carnell becomes more seasoned at RB.

Eli Manning is a fourth quarter guy. He does very well in the last minutes of the game. He needs to work on an all game plan where he can be relied on the whole time. Tiki did well, I just hope that will carry over. They need to work on the Shockey and Eli connection, as well as Plaxico Burress. Their Defense is young, so they have a lot of improvement. I see their Defense doing better this coming year. Tiki and Strahan may have a problem getting in the rythm (I think it will be hard for them to do as well as they did last year) of things. But overall, I think they should worry about injuries the most. That would be their worst enemy.

That's my prediction. I think they will be the top dogs in the NFC East and the NFC overall. I hope anyway.

Did any of you notice that every single touchdown of Toomers was reviewed. They were all ruled touchdown. Crazy huh?

Hardly a revelation, CC1. I mean, was anyone actually surprised that Ricky screwed up again? I wasn't. Once a pothead, always a pothead.

Ricky is just like Snoop Dogg, says he's going to stop, then five months later you catch him arguing with the wall.

It's a shame.

it did this past year. It hurt him because all he wanted to do was that, and I guess find himself. but he only scored very little touchdowns. He was not ready to come back to the NFL. Besides, I highly doubt he played high.

Yeah I don't think he played high either, though some of my high school friends did that very successfully. I doubt it would fly on the NFL level.

What I meant was that he (other than his year off) has had a very successful football career, despite his drug use. If the NFL had cut out drug tests altogether, which I think they should, he wouldn't have taken that year off.

I personally think that the NFL should test for things like steroids, not recreational drugs.

The problem is that when this knucklehead gets caught, he can't DO his job. Sheesh! And since he's almost 30, his odds of continuing to do his job gets less and less. If the suspension is upheld, Ricky will be out of football for an entire season, and who will want to take a chance on him after he's reinstated. What a waste of talent!

Frankly, I don't care what Ricky does. I was mad at first when he retired, then when he came back I was not impressed with him. So I think the best thing, in my opinion, is for him and the NFL to break up, and never see each other again.

There is some young talent coming in. I would rather have them, than Doped up Ricky any day.
