Curry!!
When it camps, it often makes.

This is cutlet curry.
The thing which did a topping of a pork cutlet to curry.
 
The cutlet curry is making my mouth water. I have a recipe for the pork cutlets. Do you have one for curry like that in the picture?

I use commercial curry roux. :sorry:
I buy a pork cutlet in a side dish shop.



Please teach your recipe.

Thank you Hiroyuki Nagashima. My curry is homemade and is too watery for my taste. I shall try what you showed. My pork cutlet recipe is simple.
4 pork loin chops 1/2 to 3/4 inch thick
a small amount of flour
oil for deep frying ( I put about 1/2 an inch in the pan)
1 beaten egg
panko
-first trim the fat and then pound the pork chops
-heat the oil
-dip pork into flour
-dip pork into egg
-dip pork into panko and press to cover completely
-put pork into hot oil and cook 2 or 3 minutes on each side (flame is medium/high)
-drain on paper towel and then slice

My curry was so awful I was using a honey/sake/teriyaki marinade as a dipping sauce

It becomes more delicious.
 
chocolate and yogurt? I shall have to try this!! I just made a curry with pork belly for the meat. There is enough left over that I can try it with the chocolate and yogurt. These are the little secrets that are never in the recipe books!

Do you know any other secrets?
One of common ones I know is to add dehydrated coffee to enhance curry flavor.

Mmm I love Japanese curry too. Im guessing the S&B curry mixes and all the other cube ones have MSG?
Does anybody have any good recipes for Okonomiyaki? I want to substitute flour for something gluten free... originally I used the packet mix, which is sooo tasty, but not good for my belly Any help would be great!
 
I think all Japanese ready-mixes are loaded with MSG.

On this S&B Golden Curry sauce mix that I have in my cabinet, there is MSG, and lots of it. It makes the sodium count shoot up to 820mg for just 1/5 of the package. That is only one block of mix, by the way.

I think the worst sodium count I saw was on a bowl of instant kitsune udon. The sodium count was well into the thousands. Since then, I try not to eat any mixes or instant stuff. I try to do it on my own...

I have no idea about the okonomiyaki. Since I can't stand it, I don't know much about it...
 
Ooh thats not good! Any idea how to make a MSG free curry? That still tastes as fantastic?
I cant stand the raw egg on okonomiyaki, I prefer it with pork too, but mmm otherwise I just love it! hahaha
 
The thing is, I used to love okonomiyaki. I ate it so much, I got sick of it. Now, I cannot stand the sight of it.

I used to prefer mine with pork too. I also liked it with shrimp. Then load it down with Kewpie mayonnaise, okonomiyaki sauce, aonori, and bonito flakes.

Ugh...I need to stop talking about it...
 
Hhahaha, ok, I wont go on about it either... hmm I really like Croquette (forgive my spelling, I only make and eat the stuff) too Yum! But use rice crumbs instead of bread crumbs (gluten)
 
Now karokke is something I can talk about! Yum! I love those things.
 
Mmm, I like potato ones with mince and onion, or sweet potato and curry, karokke pan used to be a favourite.. cream karokke with corn and bacon.... mmmm
Actually my old hairdressing boss in New Zealand (japanese) wanted to open a karokke shop if she didnt open the salon. She would always spoil us with them, and okonomiyaki, and everything else she cooked so well. I miss you Humi-san!
 
Stop!!!! Gosh, that sounds so good. Especially the cream karokke with corn and bacon. I think from now on, I will not go into this thread first thing in the morning, without eating breakfast...

Hmm dont suppose you've made a bechamel sauce (white sauce) with Soy milk and gluten free flour? I think I might have to investigate this... you want me to send you some cream karokke if they turn out good??
 
Is it easily gluten-free flour available there?
The number of organic food shops is increasing, but still hard to get allegy free foods in Japan.

For okonomiyaki, I guess you can eat decent Korean okonomiyaki in Korea, forgot the name though.

Do you eat vegitable drived MSG, like tomatoes?

Blah, now your'e just scaring me! Im just new to this whole game of what im not allowed.. well the gluten I knew about, but Dairy has just gotten a whole lot worse, as for MSG... Im just new to that too.
Tomatoes? I love cherry tomatoes! (I knew there was a reason my tum felt a little odd after)
Hahah dont be mislead into thinking that Korea can do anything near as fantastic as Okonomiyaki, granted the do a good Pajeon, but its just not the same.
I can use Buckwheat flour as a substitute... and im thinking blended silken tofu as the mayo/yoghurt.... Any more help for me? Im so LOST!
 
Ok, well when I get my A into G and get a 'decent' place to live in, I shall try all of my new recipes... with my little odd additions, and ship them off around the world. You wouldnt really want me to start cooking now, you might get large cockroaches in the meal. Even im not brave enough to cope with that!
