Im doing an OAP/study abroad in Tokyo this summer and I wanted to get some feedback from others who have done similar programs.

Im thinking about CSA International. Its a language intensive program and from what i gather theres class for three hours a day and besides that youre pretty much on your own, which is cool by me. Its in Shinjuku district which is another bonus.

Anyone with experience know of a better program for this sort of thing?

Cost = $2500 for 8 weeks.
$2000 for 6

More importantly, where should I stay while Im there besides homestay? CSA provides some options but id like some more.
Id like to spend only between 40-50 a night within 30 min train ride of school if possible.

Also what do I do about things like cell phone / internet connection etc. once i get there?

thanks

Ask CSA International or other schools if they offer "weekly/monthly manshion", furnished studio rent by the week/month.
US$1200 will be ok for a furnished room in Shinjuku, or even at the center of Kabukicho for the studio.

When you don't mind your privacy, guesthouses starting from about 500/month will also be your choice.

thanks for taking the time to respond.

Ill use this info to dig around a little more. Im sure ill have more questions after that. If i have any issues hopefully i can come back to this thread and you guys can help me fill in the gaps.

thanks again
