Suicide Ali

There are no plans for an American release. Only 100 copies were printed, and it sold out immediately at their lives.

Damn- I just got into Suicide Ali, I think they're great. I'm in love with Ai Subeki Shikei (sp?) the most. First time I listened to it I started shaking because Goshi's vocals were so powerful. I never had such an emotional reaction to a song before and I didn't even know the translation.

They're so talented. Wish I could buy some of their merchendise.

I really like the fansite, especially the lyric translations...
(I can translate stuff roughly, but it's nice to see how someone else - who can speak Japanese a heck of a lot better than I - translates song lyrics)

You know the downloads on their site? Do they save to your computer? Because I'd love to have some songs on my phone:D
 
Yeah the songs can be saved on your computer by simply right clicking the links and clicking 'save as' :)

Also, to answer your question, unfortunately SuiAli has not done any concerts in the U.S. as of yet.

I never knew that there is a suicide ali thread here... well I never looked anyway... oh well...

I listened to This New Order and it's really good... They sound quite distinct as well so it's all good ^_^
 
Suicide Ali is a great band, they are different then most bands these days and like @Gaxnela said - their sound is distinct and i love that :)

Pity their new single is only 100 copies though :/

Nina- I learnt it off some old friends. Then I went to Norway without telling anyone and they were like OMG what? Where the **** is she?! And that's the story of my acquisition of really sh*tty Norwegian:D

Um... as far as I know they don't have any merchandise in Japan, but don't quote me on that. It's pretty easy to make merch, so they could've easily made something by now without my knowing. As far as "near future plans" the band is working preparing for their very exciting live anniversary one-man on the 27th!!

Well, they just released that single, and they're constantly working on music, so again I'm going with a vague answer of I dunno, lol. This New Order is being re-pressed as well (though Japan only)!!

Yes, the band only made 100 copies of the single. Suicide Ali is not an indies band, they are an unsigned band, so there is no record label running anything. The band has to pay for everything (i.e. printing album copies) so they're doing what they can. Honestly, it's not unusual for bands to release limited-release singles for fans who come to their lives as a kind of gratitude :)

I still haven't listened to their latest (since This New Order) - I must go check out their MySpace soon! :p I've been really slack these last few months about keeping up with things, musically, and I can't listen to music/vids at work, unfortunately. :-( I'm keen to hear what they're up to, though!

*lightbulb comes on* I really really really wish that my partner could take SuiAli on his label! That would be... awesome in every possible sense of the word. But he doesn't have enough money at the moment to take on another band. :(
 
sunsweet: oh... I never knew they are unsigned... Yeah, I guess if I was in their place, I'd have to limit the production too... ^_^
