Strip Clubs

the touts you see on the streets tend to be either the owners or close employees. According to wikipedia some african owners actually post japanese to act as managers as locals would refuse to patronise an african owned club.
Believe me, getting into such a sticky situation opened my eyes to how much that area is run by african organised crime.

Interesting. That's why one should only go with a companion or two.
 
i was taken from one club to another because the twits couldn't put my card through after we finally reached some middle ground on the price. I was playing with the idea of jumping him breifly till we got out on the street. Every few yards was an african tout from another club and seeing him with me in tow they quickly checked me over and asked the guy if he was cool or OK, he nodded and the touts quickly checked me out once more then went about their business.
 
I would forget the strip clubs and try some of the amazing hostess clubs.

None of the photos in pinkbox are from hostess bars... they are from strip clubs, massage parlours, soaplands, etc.
 
Better still stick to the clubs.
The next night I decided to stick to Shibuya and had a brilliant night in Womb.
Japanese clubbing is the best Ive experienced, a receptive and fun loving crowd, out to have fun nd not get totally destroyed like they do over here.
I felt love in there all the pills in the world couldn't generate.

Well reading all this has been interesting! but are there plain old STRIP clubs in japan? I really want go live and work there and well... I Love stripping! but that is it.I pole (damn well I might add!) I strip, and I do lap dances but I don't do extras at all. So i know this is all people traveling to japan but is there a market over there for european (white, blonde, blue eyes, thin with big hips, 10D) I know asians like there blondes when they overseas, but does anyone know from business trips or just out on the drink with locals if they go for the same in japan? I know I can go there and work as an english teacher but I couldn't imagine that paying as well and being as exciting or as fun as stripping.

You might be able to work under an entertainment visa, but I've heard the authorities have cracked down on this. Maybe a resident can give you an update.

I've never heard of cases like yours, so what I'm posting here is educated guess from what I heard from people I know and read from media reports.
As Armand wrote, the only type of visa you can get for that job would be an entertainment visa, but that visa category had been and still is being abused. So, any application in this category is examined very strictly. To get an entertainment visa, you will have to look for a Japanese entertainment company, probably operating nightclubs in Japan, and get their sponsorship. If the company is respectable, visa will be issued relatively easily.

Otherwise--though this is not really legal--you can get a visa as an English teacher, teach during the day and do what you like on the side. Please note that college education is required to apply as an English teacher.
 
I've heard of incidents where Japanese immigration authorities would raid a strip club and bust dancers for violations on the entertainment visa.

Some clubs are reputable and have dorms for their dancers.

Having a dorm does not make a club reputable. All I said that there are some reputable clubs. Some not-so-hot ones probably also have dorms. Probably a dancer wannabe should talk to the girls at different clubs first before taking the plunge.
