Please help as I don't understand this conjugation.

V-stem + き（切）る in this case means to do something entirely or completely. きれない is the negative potential (cannot do) form of this, giving the whole phrase the literal meaning of "(I) can't do [X] completely/entirely/enough."

For example, 「量が多くて食べきれなかった」 would be "There was so much that I couldn't eat it all."

「待ちきれない」 is a bit more idiomatic, since we don't generally think of waiting for something "completely", but the notion is that you're looking forward to something _so_ much that you wait and wait, but through no amount of waiting can you contain your eager anticipation (or something along those lines.)

Hmm... you realize that this second construction isn't the same as the V-きれない one above, right? You seem to have a good basic understanding of what it means, though.

To wait is "matsu", and "can't wait" is "matenai"

But "machikiru" is more like "to endure the wait"

Look at it this way:

To say "Kare wa ashita kimasu" would be an answer to "When is he coming?"

"Kare wa ashita ni kimasu" is a response to "Which day is he coming." "Ni" puts the emphasis on the "ashita."

日本に行くのが待ち遠しいです（まちどおしい） is also good for 'can't wait' or 'impatient for' 'can hardly wait.' Of course there's always some variation on 楽しみにしていす, but that sounds a little less enthusiastic.

東京はどうしても 捨てがたいなあ。 Tokyo is impossible to miss. Please don't change your mind now !

I just think about things I want to say in english and try to translate them to the best of my ability. Unfortunately my knowledge is limited to where my sentences are more advanced than I perceive them to be. I need to take a damn class already. Look at it this way:

To say "Kare wa ashita kimasu" would be an answer to "When is he coming?"

"Kare wa ashita ni kimasu" is a response to "Which day is he coming." "Ni" puts the emphasis on the "ashita."

I think ni also translates to "Kyou ni kuru," or coming today, I usually just leave it as "Kyou juu ni XXX" (sometime later today).

Damicci, Once you're actually there of course the critical factors will be speaking well enough to ask questions and understanding enough to follow the answers/misinterpretations/corrections. I would spend a lot of preparation time on practical phrases and dialogues first to get through the airports, hotel check in, eating out, etc depending on how much you actually feel comfortable using it in non-emergency situations. Anyone can get by with just a little English after all.

しています = you're still in the process of doing. Then better to say "準備をしています" If you're done preparing, "準備はdekiています."

私はいろは坂を見たい も ペンフレンドに会いたい。= you used "も" to mean "and" but in this case, use "soreto" or "sorekara"


そして私達はいろいろところへ行きたい = don't forget to put the "na" in there:
そして私達はいろいろna ところへ行きたい

本当予定がありません = 本当 means more like "truthful". If you want to say you don't have definite plans, "Hakkiri to shita 予定 wa ありません."

たぶん東京のちかくに歩きます =

東京のちかくに歩きます Should be を instead of に if you saying you want to walk around Tokyo. With に you're saying you're walking towards Tokyo. A more common way of saying "casually walking around" is "sanpo shimasu" (take a walk) or "bura bura shimasu" (literally meaning "swinging around" but means walk or hang around in). Or you could say "aruki mawarimasu" (literally "walk around").
