Travel Southernmost point in Japan: Hateruma Island

Since the northernmost point in Japan is discussed elsewhere, I thought it would be good to post a video of the southernmost point in Japan: Hateruma Island. There is a small monument marking the spot at 0:36 into the video.

Omigosh! Yes, it is the southernmost inhabited point in Japan. (The monument on Hateruma Island is misleading, I think.)

Neat! I do enjoy my geographical oddities.

This was the follow-up video after watching the paragliding one, that has some more information about Okinotorishima (in Japanese)
