Hello everyone,

I'm working on a social networking website for... Primarily foreigners that are living in Japan who want to connect with each other or to connect with Japanese. But its pretty much open to anyone who is interested in Japan and I'm eager to see how it will shape up. I know there are already many social sites out there, so it will either be successful or become a total failure
Please check it out if you want and post any comments or questions you may have. The site is somewhat similar to Myspace, but I think it is more user friendly... there is less customization options available though, but I hope to change that a little bit in the future.

Facebook is a networking site that I visit but not many people talk to anyone. I hope this site stays under more control than Facebook. Keep the Applications down because that can make a site not worth going to. Allow the basics but no Applications.

Thank you for the input and I totally agree with you. I think a lot of social sites feel overly bloated, I want to minimize that while offering users a streamlined and functional experience.

egenki has potential, but no one is ever on it lol. Its dead.

Yeah, its hit a bit of a roadbump right now. I need to upgrade it to a different software, but its quite a task that involves a lot of database work. So, until I can get the money to do it, the site is kind of in a neutral state right now. But I haven't forgot about it, its just on a temporary hold at the moment
