I haven't had time to listen to all of it yet :( but I listened to some of it on the way to work this morning 😄 I like! :-) Someone said it was more kind of 'pop' and they didn't like the direction they were going in... so I was thinking maybe I wouldn't like this album so much... :unsure: but from what I hear so far... nice :liplick:

My only quibble is that some songs are just a leeeetle over-produced, and I think they could do with a rougher edge (because after all, their music is quite gentle, so...). So they do run into the danger of becoming a bit popified. But... they have this way of... I dunno... it seems they can write what is an ordinary 'pretty tune' and then add some kind of twist, unexpected progression or chord that just makes my stomach go --> 😎 (nearest smilie I could find!).

And... Izon no Niwa = bassfest...... 😍 😍 😍
 
Rougher edge is good way of putting it. Sid's always been pop, but good pop.
I'm a bit worried too, although there are lots of good music on this album I think it's just a bit soft. There used to be bit more speed to their songs.
But they havn't gone bad(far from it!) I just don't think it's as good as Ajisay.

"Sid have announced a new tour for Spring 2006. Their upcoming 2006. Spring Special tour will include venues in Tokyo and Osaka. The band are following up on their success at their recent NHK hall show where they showed off their special charity supporting brooches that they designed in collaboration with Entrata. Copies of the brooches will be available for sale from 25th December.

The band have also announced a maxi single for February."

Too bad I can't go to Japan to see a live... :( But... new maxi single! 😄 🕺
 
I have to admit, I didn't like the album very much when I first listened to it. It was just.. I dunno.. I didn't hate it, but nothing made me think it was that great, either. After listening to it for a few times, I like it better, but still not that much. I did like the singles, though, so I wondered why I didn't click with the whole album. It just seems so light, even for me who loves pop just as much as rock music..
"CARAMEL" I don't like. I can't listen to it for very long at all .. I really like "ringo ame" and "toge to neko" though :-)

I wonder what the next single will be like... :?
 
It's funny - normally I like much heavier stuff than SID's music. :unsure: I guess it's interesting to have changes though.

And I love Izon no niwa... like I haven't already said... 😊

hehe, it's really fun to read about the music..and to hear that people have different meanings about it...I haven't heard the album yet, but I'm planning to listen to it later to day:-) hope I'll like it😌

My favorites from it are Izon no Niwa (like you hadn't guessed, hehe 😌 ) and Aikagi, unplugged version. 😭 (<-- happy cry... again...)
 
There are certainly some songs/albums you need to listen to more then once to tell if you will like it (cough miyavi).
I'm trying to download SID's latest album right now, hope it works, I have no idea what they are like.
 
omg -_- kinsao... hahah u and i have lots of similar likes =D i LOVE... ADORE izon no niwa... it makes me cry =*( hahaha its like... i duno... such an emotional song =D and DUDE... LOVE the pix =D hahahah
