Which is the better place to stay in Tokyo. I have found two hotels that I'm interested in. The Hilton Tokyo in Shinjuku and the Park Hotel in Shiodome. I really like the area of Shinjuku but I want to stay in a high-rise hotel with great views of the city which the Park hotel seems to offer, it is also slightly cheaper.
Has anyone stayed in either hotel? What did you think?

Thanks.

Oh and before anyone mentions it - The Park Hyatt is way too expensive for me. I'd love to but I can't. lol

damn your rich man to be staying in one of them anyways. I havent staying in one them
But i friend says the hilton one is really class

Both are nice. Anyhow, they are only 20 apart from each other by underground, so you can easily visit both even the same day. Shiodome is next to Ginza, Tsukiji and Odaiba, while there isn't much right next to Shinjuku but Shinjuku.

Not to mention the terrific view over Tokyo Bay you'll enjoy in Shiodome...

Thanks for the help.

Having viewed many more pics of the Shiodome area I think I'm going for the Park Hotel. The views look amazing...!

What would be the easiest/cheapest route from Narita Airport to this area, how much would it cost?

Also are week long underground passes available, how much do they cost.

Thank you.

Anybody who can afford to stay in those hotels surely isn't going to go broke buying subway tickets at full price.

Both hotels weren't that different in price compared to any of the others when searching through them on expedia. There were 2 star hotels almost identical in price to the 4/5 star examples.

And plus, since I plan to go in October there isn't that much choice anyway.

Trust me, I'm not rich, infact I'm nowhere near being rich.

Hilton Tokyo is one of the cheapest luxury hotel in town. Regular Internet rates are 18,000yen for 2 (so 9,000 each), but I expect it to be much less in "package tours".

Ha Ha Me Too!!

I've booked a room in the Royal Park Shiodome too!! I'm arriving there late september. It looks to be a fantastic hotel!! 👍

The Royal Park is a different hotel, it is next to the Park hotel. Very confusing. LOL
