News Shibuya and Shinjuku to ban public drinking

That's right, there are few factories in the downtown area of Shinjuku, Shibuya of Tokyo.
But there is much late-night work including a roadwork and infrastructure construction of electricity, the gas, the maintenance of tracks construction of the railroad in Tokyo.
The cleaning of a building and a restaurant and the store is carried out in the middle of the night, too.
It is interesting at the break of day to stroll in Shinjuku or Shibuya.

There is much drinking in the outdoors by cherry blossom viewing or a festival in Japan from old days. However, what is regulated in an external factor is sad.

Japan doesn't have a pub culture like in the UK, where workers just go to have a beer after work. Japanese workers do go out to drink but at izakayas, which are primarily restaurants.

That's not entirely true. There are plenty of bars and "snacks" where people go primarily to drink and any food is secondary. But to Japanese -- at least to my wife anyway -- it's odd to drink without eating something with it. Even if it's a hot day and we grab a cold beer for a cool drink, she'll invariably pull out some senbei or kaki no tane or something to go with it.
