Sentence meaning with two objects

The following sentence has two object particles. I was wondering if the first subject is acted on by 強い and the second by です

水ぼうそうは感染する力がとても強いウイルスが原因の 病気です

My interpretation is:

Chicken Pox is very contagious , it is a virus that causes the disease.

"力が is the subject(not the object) of 強い" is correct, but ウイルスが is the subject of 原因; ウイルスが原因だ "a virus is the cause". These two clauses both modify 病気.

Chicken Pox is a very contagious disease caused by a virus.

感染する力がとても強いウイルス highly infectious virus
が原因の病気です
As the cause for the disease.

Putting it together:
Chicken pox is a disease caused by a highly infectious virus.

The words don't really match up with the Japanese but that can't be helped. E.g. Cause is a verb but 原因 is a noun.

水疱瘡は is the topic

感染する力 is being described by とても強い

感染する力がとても強い is describing ウイルス

感染する力がとても強いウイルス is subject of 原因（である）

感染する力がとても強いウイルスが原因（である）is modifying 病気

I can see where the confusion is happening.

Yeah it is confusing. You have to start at the front with 水疱瘡は "chicken Pox" than look at the final verb 病気 desu which becomes "Chicken pox is a disease" etc etc.. Its my English Brain getting in the way. One day I hope it becomes clearer.

@Morphling 's interpretation and my one are both equally correct, just like "a very contagious disease" and "a very contagious virus" both can be used.
