Seijin No Hi - coming of age day

The ceremony itself is called seijinshiki. My understanding from looking at friend's photos and listening to their stories is that it's like a large-scale high school graduation ceremony. Dress up, take lots of photos with family, go out with friends to the ceremony, listen to some speeches, take more photos with friends, change, go out and party.
