Thanks a lot!
I have a second, related question about typing dates in Japanese. In a date, 24日 is にじゅうよっか, but how do people normally enter this using IME? For example when I type using the standard IME on my Mac, if I type "24よっか" and hit the space bar to get the kanji I end up with 24四日. To get 24日 I have to type 24にち which gives me the right kanji, but by entering an incorrect reading.
Obviously I can type out the whole date にじゅうよっか which gives me the right numerals and kanji but this seems a bit long-winded. For example, having to type "twenty fourth" to display "24th" in English would be inconvenient.
