After 27 years of operation, a famous Tokyo landmark, the Sapporo Beer Station in Ebisu, will close down by the end of this year. Another 'Blue Note' jazz club will open in its place next autumn.



According to the article linked below, the operating company, Shinseien, was a joint venture between Sapporo Breweries and New Tokyo. New Tokyo took over in 2021 and decided to cease operations. It's the end of an era.

I've actually been there. Sad. Hard to believe they can't keep it going profitably.
