Sanuki Corporation - Japanese used vehicle exporter

Dear Mr. Thomas,

I am writing to address the ongoing issues regarding the refund process for a recent transaction with our customer. As we are all aware, Sanuki Corporation's second payment attempt also failed, as confirmed by our bank yesterday. ( See the Attachment 01) Our bank, Rakuten Bank, sent the second payment on July 16, 2024, at 17:48:37 to the account details provided in the refund request form filled out by the customer (see Attachment 02).

Upon informing the customer to recheck the account details, the customer's bank provided information that differed from what the customer initially filled out in the refund request form (see Attachment 03). After the failed first attempt, we asked the customer to verify the details by sending a bank slip, but unfortunately, we did not receive a reply.

Our refund process necessitates that customers complete the refund request form with accurate account details. This form is crucial for our records and must be submitted to the bank as evidence of a refund request.

Despite multiple requests, the customer has been unwilling to fill out the refund request form again, opting instead to send a screenshot with the details. Regrettably, we cannot use a screenshot as a supportive document for the bank, nor does it suffice as evidence of accurate transaction details. The customer has refused to take responsibility for providing incorrect information and has made disparaging remarks about our nationality and the integrity of our staff ( See the Attachments )

It is important to note that if our intention were to scam our customers, we would not engage in public forums to discuss and resolve these issues. We hope you and others can understand the efforts we are making and recognize where the responsibility lies.

We kindly request your assistance in asking the customer to complete the refund request form accurately and return it to us. I have attached a blank PDF to use for that. This will enable us to process the refund with the correct details and ensure that we have the necessary documentation for bank records.

Additionally, I request that you publish all the details if you can, as it is your social responsibility to inform the public and allow them to understand where the fault lies and why such issues are occurring.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation in this matter.

Thank you! I confirm we have the documents for reference, but for privacy reasons, we cannot post them to a public thread.

Mr Thomas,

They're misleading again. Sanuki can't even properly fill out a payment request to their bank, filling out the field that says "city" as "HIGHWAY VICTORIA" instead of "VICTORIA". When we try to offer alternative bank details they act as if we're confusing them and ask to fill out a new form.

We'll play their game.

At the end of the day, they're just doing anything to not send the money back.

And on their first attempt to transfer, they spelled bank as "BANI". Yet they say "where the fault lies".

Hey, Sanuki, let's just say it's no one's fault! Just send the money back!

You trying to sound formal and official does not get you credibility, only righteous actions do.

Bob-mo. Sanuki Corp is horrible. Everything was going sort of all right in a search for a car for me to import. Found a car things seemed good until I was lied too and it was too late!!! Car was supposed to have low km and no rust! Car had 200,000 more km than it was supposed to! And it was in a flood and full of really bad rust. Things were doctored to look good in pictures... and now I'm spending over $12,000- to $15,000 to repair it. Once I started asking for who was responsible and some money back I was ghosted! They won't talk they don't care. They got there money! And I severely lost out! I would suggest this company to anyone no matter how good the deal sounds! They even made a post on Facebook and Twitter that I gave them 5 stars for excellent service and that I was happy!! No I was not!! Do not give them a dime or your time!

Happens here in the US sometimes. I bought a GMC Jimmy that had a new paint job and low miles. Turned out it had been in a bad flood and was loaded with rust hidden under the new paint job. I took it to have new transmission fluid put in and they told me the Tran's pan had 4 inches of mud in it. After driving it for just a month , pieces and chunks of rust were falling off it. I was lucky the threat of a law suit made them replace both doors and all 4 fenders among other things.

I understand people do crooked things to advance themselves. It's very unfortunate how badly I was lied to over this purchase and how much money I spent on this car. If I didn't have the know how it would literally be in the junk yard right now. I can't even register the darn thing! So now it's literally in a million pieces... so much for a dream car! But as for Sanuki bunch of crooks!

An update on Sanuki Corporation. Even after receiving a demand letter and intra-Japan banking details from our Japanese lawyer they are still refusing to rebate the owing amount. Which is why we are proceeding with a lawsuit in Japan. Please label them as fraudulent and dangerous.

Copy of the letter FYI:

Without Prejudice
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO PROCEED WITH LITIGATION

Hello Wasana,

I am proceeding against you and Sanuki Corporation in regards to the owing amount.

I have advised the Sumikawa Law Office to proceed with the court action against you if you refuse to resolve this matter in a voluntary fashion.

Payment in full must be received within 72 hours of receiving this notice.
Failure to receive this payment may result in actions commencing against you.
Should we commence court proceedings or legal action against you, you will be required to pay for all court costs, fees, interest, and expenses that will additionally add to your current existing debt.
Once the judgement has been granted, our further action and execution proceedings against you at your expense.
Not limited to but, including garnishment of your wages, bank account, seizure of assets and filing an application to petition you into bankruptcy.
To avoid these actions against you, your immediate payment must be made.

The payment must be made according to the instructions provided to you by our attorney in previous correspondence.

Once payment being made through one of these the above options, you must email proof of payment.

I have also requested that my attorney drafts correspondence to the Japanese authorities, included, but not limited to the Public Prosecutor's office, to initiate criminal action against you as the one-year anniversary of your non-payment is approaching.

This is your final warning notice that you will receive prior to us issuing a claim against you in your jurisdiction.

Govern yourself accordingly.

For all the time & trouble you went through , they should have paid you triple the amount owed. Instead of scammer , I think we can lower the label to "inept" , LOL.

Right back at you ! Hope Santa can get you a vehicle you can enjoy & appreciate.

I got scammed by Sanuki as well. I sent money for the car and they keep lying they never got it

Welcome to the forum! Sorry to hear about your situation.

If you read through this thread, you will learn that one member here was able to recover their money after threatening legal action. We were hoping Sanuki had learnt their lesson.

Thanks Thomas. Can you please advise regarding lawyer's contact details one of your member used? Thank you

How do legitimate export companies operate? Is it purely trust-based? Or can you use an escrow service? Given all the scams we see, I'd be very nervous to try to buy a vehicle like this.

This also happens, am in Kenya. This guys are scammers upto now they have refused to refund my 400 usd. This is unacceptable. They pretend to get a good car for the client then after you pay a deposit they take you through hell. They are thieves

Stay away, they are scammers. I am looking for other victims of Sanuki Corp to group a lawsuit. They scammed a lot of people, including me. I am looking for more people to join a group lawsuit against them. Please get in touch with me or add to this thread.
