😜 so anyone seen samurai champloo here? from the creators of Cowboy Bebop...instead of the space cowboys blues theme...its samurai with hip-hop :-)

i just love this series and the music...each main character with their differences joining up to find the samurai that smells of sunflowers.

yea...you watch it on adult swim i assume..they always change the lineup...which stops me from watching that all together...my bf got me the fansubs for my b-day ^-^

and i watched them all in one day ^^;

haha. I got the first DVD from bandai. I read in an Anime mag it was like Cowboy Bebop, so it took my interest from there. Awesome show, including the opening and closing songs.

my friend used to play all the music in his car for me from the soundtracks...very good stuff i must say. but yea i love the opening theme

*listens to Battlecry* :music2:

Is Cool

I've been trying to watch as many episodes as I can on adultswim, but its pretty hard to do that with my vacationing and all. I like it, the way it is presented gives you a unique feel towards it. 👍

That show is funny. Jin and Mugan are cute when they fight. The music is there for you to love a dance with. I'm trying to get the dvds and maybe a sound track if I can find it. But Fuu isn't my favorit. For some reason I don't like her. I think it is because she gets kidnapped too much. Has anyone noticed that? *Blinks* Any how. Can I get help where to find some of the dvd?

Online, if no other is found. But it's done by Geneon, so the DVDs should be available somewhere. Try Suncoast, BestBuy, or maybe even a rental place ( they sell them sometimes)

As for Fuu, I like her, because she isn't too much a stereotypical Anime girl (just like Faye...oh the similarities)

Thanks. But still I don't like her. Sorry >.< But still she make the show a bit more interesting. I would be surprized if Mugan doesn't kill Fuu at the end of the season. But I think they'll be pretty cute couple.

Samurai Champloo has one of the best OST's I've ever encountered when it comes to anime.

The series is.. for the lack of better word. . .stlylin'.

What bugs me, though, is that Adult Swim stopped airing new episodes of Samurai Champloo (for those in the U.S.).

Grr! What?! When did they do that?! :auch: I hope they start getting new ones soon or else people might stop watching the show cause of all of the repeats. Still how dare they!

Hmm, I wonder why they stopped it... Something similar happened in Japan, where only the first 17 episodes were shown on a certain channel, because that was the amount that was agreed on. However, the rest of the episodes were later shown on another channel. Even though I (as well as many others) had to wait a while for the rest of the episodes, I'm sure everyone enjoyed the whole series. I should really get that OST, though... :(

I really enjoyed this anime, despite its brevity. I liked how well all the anachronisms are worked into the storyline, much like cowboy bebop in reverse.

as in pretty much all cases, the english dub is crap. For the sake of the show's integrity, please download the original or a fansub.

Ok I don't know if this right here on Adult Swim is true but it says that there has been 13 episodes shown. They have 1-10 and 10-13. See for yourselves on the web site. Adult Swim Shows

But if I'm wrong some how please someone tell me ☝ I would like to know. But I don't know why they stpped. *Gasps* What if they stop making more episodes?! That can't happen! :auch:

Well, that shouldn't happen. All 26 episodes were actually licensed for distribution in North America before they were even aired in Japan. And even if that does happen... you'll still be able to buy them in store, once they're all released on DVD.

Omg Samurai Champloo pwns! XD Adult Swim = ickiness  I cant watch anime at all on it, because I'm not friggin awake at 2AM!!! :auch: Anyways, I had to download each and every single episode from LimeWire... it took ages, but in the end, definately worth it, its still one of my fav series :-)

during that asslong break i stopped watching it, i should pick it up again.

I've been told Adult Swim stopped showing Samurai Champloo to squeeze in the new season of Fullmetal Alchemist. But I think they are showing rerurns of FA? I'm not too sure.

However! I just located some great news on adulstwim.com:

Samurai Champloo will begin repeats Saturday, October 8 at 12:30 a.m., leading up to new episodes beginning November 19.

And

The second-season premiere of Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex has been moved to Saturday, November 19 at 11 p.m.

I think they wanted to align the new episodes of Samurai Champloo with the second season of GiTS.

That's great news f0rk0. I love Samurai Champloo. It took me a few episodes to warm up to it, but i really like Stand alone complex too.

Yeah it's true they did start showing new eps of FMA (Fullmetal Alchemist) and I hear they will have the rest of Champloo soon. I gotta say the series was definitely one of a kind. When I first saw it I loved it but once I saw the whole thing well I don' tknow I just though the ending could've been better but that's just me. And well yeah I saw the entire series subbed and even that didn't effect my judgment cause dubbed on Adult Swim or Fansubbed it had the same effect on me unless the ending once dubbed is drastically different but who knows right?

Such a delicious series, it was. The quality of the animation and the level of artwork was just fantastic. I think I'm in love with sunflowers now.
