The Japan Meteorological Agency recently released its first 2025 sakura forecast:

With Sakura season beginning, visitors are set to gather across Japan to enjoy spring's iconic pink and white cherry blossoms. In Tokyo, blooms are expected to appear from 23 March, according to a forecast by the Japan Meteorological Corp. (JMC), based on the popular Someiyoshino variety. Nagoya may see blossoms from 26 March, Kyoto on 29 March, and Osaka on 30 March. The season starts later in northern regions, with Aomori's blooms predicted for 20 April and Sapporo's on 27 April.

In yesterdays news they said Tokyo expectation is now 3/21. I found a reference online here. If anybody wants to take a look for themselves, there is a Chidorigafuchi webcam here.
 
I enjoyed a cherry tree on my front lawn for over 40 years now. Last year it just decided to die? Waiting for the city to give me permission to remove it.
