Hi everyone, I have been offered an English teaching job from AEON in Saga City (Saga Prefecture), as I requested to be close to Fukuoka City for personal reasons. Has anyone ever been there or know of anyone who has? It seems like a nice area of Japan from what I have read, and I am inclined to accept this job. Your experiences would be very helpful, thanks! :-)

Saga City

Population is with around 200000.
Though it is the prefectural office location, Saga-shi is an extremely small town.
JR,It is 55 minutes from Saga Station to Hakata Station.
From Saga Station to Kurume station, it is 55 minutes.
A climate is warm.
Because Saga-shi is a flat place, cycling is good.

Thanks for the info, although I had already looked at that info, I was hoping for personal anecdotes! Anyways, I have accepted the position so no turning back now! :D

I lived in Fukuoka City and have worked in Saga a couple times. It's not too bad. You can have fun there and Fukuoka is just around the corner. I would say go for it and if you cant deal with it transfer to another branch or get a new job in Fukuoka City.
