Nope, I've heard Tetsu call him "Hyde" before...more then once actually.
It's just like saying "Laruku an sheru" isn't anymore correct then saying "L'Ark en Ciel"
 
i always thought that haido was his actual name ... and hyde was just a, what do u call it?? damn, i cant remember ... something u call him on stage, oh! a stage name! is that right?
 
No, Haido isn't his real name. I will not say what his real name is 'cause that's just rude. Honestly, if he wanted us to know his real name why does he have a stage name?? I found his real name completely by accident and it made me so pissed. Why are fans so obsessed with knowing EVERYTHING about stars? Give 'em some ****** privacy! God!

Since when is Hyde's name a big mystery? I swear he's said it before. It's not like Gackt or someone who really doesn't want people to know his 'real' name and has gone through great lengths to hide it. I thought all Hyde fans and Laruku fans knew Hyde's real name, it's not that big of a deal.

Oh, and thanks for the videos Matchstick 👍 ! I just noticed I was missing the Horizon pv.

P.S. for those of you wondering, Hyde's real name is Takarai Hideto. I'm not being an azz, it's just no big secret. He more than likely took the stage name "Hyde" because with his first name being Hideto, "hide" is obviously already taken, but he didn't want something to stray too far from his name. The name Hyde written like that is obviously pronounced as the word hide or is sometimes pronouned as haido, in that X's "hide" is pronounced as "Hee-day". So, the stage name Hyde wasn't necessarily chosen as a hidden identity (because it's a pretty poor one if so), just as a nickname and one that won't be confused with the already popular "hide". You can find his name on freaking imdb and wikipedia for goodness sakes.

I have a question for all the Hyde fans. ^^

From the "Smile" CD track 5, "Time Goes On" does anyone know the translation? Or can someone do it? I've always loved that song, but have no idea what's being said.
 
Well, I don't care if he has said his name or not it's still rude. Though I have never heard him say it.

*sighs* Just because fans post it everywhere doesn't mean I have to agree with their reasoning. I just don't think, if an artist has a stage name, that we as fans should call them by their real names. For example, I know Die(from Diru)'s real name, and so do a lot of people, but I stopped calling him by it because I realized that I didn't agree with calling people with stage names by their real names. Because if stars intended for us to address them by their given names why would they make stage names? Regardless of if they let us know their real names or not, the fact that they made a stage name says something very important...at least, to me, anyway.
And NO, I am not trying to sound snobbish, uppity, or elitist. I am just stating my opinion. Just thought I should put that in plain terms before someone jumped on me again.
 
i learned hyde's name a long time ago, but i really idn't care one way or the other, and i still call him haido cause i like that name better (sorry of that sounds rude of me) and it is his stage name, and he chose that name for the specific reason of not wanting everyone in the world to know everything about his personal life. And I respect Haido-sama, so i shall continue to call him that unless one day he decides to make a huge public announcement stating his real name and saying that that is what he wants to be called
 
thankies! i wanted to have another Hyde avatar....so i went and begged my friend to make me one, and she (the kind person that she is) gave me one that she had made a year ago -_-
but it still makes me smile ^^

You guys are funny. Hyde has a stage name because who wants to be a rock star who goes by his full name of Takarai Hideto? Part of being a rockstar is having a catchy name that people can remember. Maybe as a solo artist "Hideto or Takarai Hideto" would fly, but not as a band member. I'm sorry, I just think you're going overboard with the "protect the rockstars privacy" thing. Yes, we should always respect their wishes, but I don't think Hyde's wishes are to hide his name as some big secret. He could probably care less about fans knowing it, seeing as they have for the last 10+ years. The thing is, he IS a star, he IS famous, and his privacy is something that should be respected, but not overly sheltered, he's the one who chose the career path that he did. Like I said, he's not mister mystery Gackt who blatantly doesn't want fans knowing anything about him. He's Haido-sama.

Ah, I love Rent too!!! Musicals are my life, well not really, but I have season passes to the theatre back home so anytime Broadway productions come in town I drive back home (from school) and go see them. The Last thing I saw was Phantom of the Opera, and next month I finally get to see Wicked :D ! My favorite musical ever is Jesus Christ Superstar though, the soundtrack is awesomeness, lol!

but i believ my fav musical is still rent...something about it makes me love it so much.....
