What's everyone's favorite Hyde moments? I have a few:

-Meeting Megumi - It makes you feel warm inside, since it reminds you of when couples first get together and start very nervously. Also loved how Hyde mishears Ken (Tetsu?) offstage telling him to get her number: "(Denwa bango!)" "Tabako...?"

-Tamagotchi - While talking with some guy in a show (? not sure of context), Hyde's Tamagotchi beeps so he has to take it out.

-Play acting with Ken - I deleted the video because it was a lousy quality, but I think I remember one of those two acting as a villanous gangster. The acting was playfully ridiculous.

-Forbidden Lover PV - loved his dramatic expressions

-Shallow Sleep PV - not as much him as much as the PV as a whole that I loved.

-MoonChild, making someone regret a certain something - Don't wanna give it away, though (hint: it's the second kill that we see, I think).

-coughing during Promised Land live - nothing special, he just got something in his throat during one part of Light My Fire's Promised Land. Gotta stop smoking!
 
Kinsao, Hyde in chains has that effect on people, sometimes.

...I don't think the pout helps, either. :o

The next part is a little OT:

Vincent Gallo ruined what could have been a very good PV. I honestly imagined him, as he was directing Anemone, to have slunked down in his chair, waving his arm around, saying: "So yeah, just stand there and do your playing thing and I'll add in a couple of dancing girls," as if the song was worth that crap of a video.

I hate Vincent Gallo, not just for his questionable skills, but also as a person...

Gallo is known for his outspoken and highly-quotable views and claims, once saying "I stopped painting in 1990 at the peak of my success just to deny people my beautiful paintings, and I did it out of spite". In 2003, he aggressively defended his conservative Republican politics to French journalists during the US invasion of Iraq. He also has engaged in a feud with film critic Roger Ebert after Ebert called his film The Brown Bunny "the worst in the history" of the Cannes Film Festival. Numerous public exchanges followed in which, among other events, Gallo put a hex on Ebert's prostate and Ebert declared watching the video of his colonoscopy preferable to The Brown Bunny. The feud was eventually resolved and Ebert endorsed a re-cut version of the film. Gallo himself was critical of the Cannes cut, saying it was not ready to be shown, and stating that the fact that several French critics were defending it was "almost like salt in the wound".

In November 2005, via his merchandise site, someone speaking for Gallo made an offer of his services as a sperm donor for $1 million US. I still can't believe SUGIZO actually put up with him enough to have him in Parallel Side of Soundtrack. Note that SUGIZO shares a HUGELY different view on Iraq, so I wonder how they'd get along.

Wow, Vincent Gallo seems like a total *****.

I don't mind the anemone pv that much because I think all of the members of Laruku look absolutely amazing in it and it's nice to just look at them, not to mention that Anemone is my favorite song so it's hard to do bad by it. The 'angle 2' of Anemone, however, is my favorite Laruku video ever!
 
I agree 'cept my fav song is Kisou but I agree about the pretty-ness of the PV for Anemone

I don't deny that their looks were good, or that the song is one of their highest in quality, but as a PV in and of itself is what I was talking about, so I'm still a bit unsure of where the prettiness factor of the PV comes in.

I listened to the song before watching the PV, and probably there was some personal bias, because I kind of liked my mind-imagination version of the song. I'm sure the rest of you had your own "personal PVs" in your minds when listening to the song without the PV, that were all of a much higher quality than what Gallo spewed out. More importantly, I also just thought Vincent Gallo didn't appreciate the quality of the song or of the band enough to spend that much effort on directing, relying solely on good looks and sex appeal (I mean, what was the point of the dancers?). Sure, there's some art in minimalism, but I couldn't for the life of me see where the art lay in here specifically, as far as PV directing was concerned.

He's a disgusting man, and in this case I think he's a poor director. I wonder, though, what his other works are like....?
 
I still don't think the PV's the worst in the world but I do see your point. And I wouldn't call it sex appeal...I wanted to shoot those girls :eek:...............😌 Eh heh heh, I'm not always like that I swear I just didn't like those girls too much, don't know why. And no it's not 'cause they were dancing around the band members and I was jealous (well, I was actually but that's not the reason for it, eh eh-hem) it's just that I didn't like 'em. :-)

And I will agree that Gallo should be shot on site. :eek: He sucks major monkey butt. He needs to get his @$$ kicked good and hard. :box:
