Romaji Translation Please

Domo, Nesutaa desu.
Hi, I just started learning Japanese about a week ago (by way of japanesepod101.com) and I need some help with a bit of translation.
Here is the Romaji I need help with:
kimi ga inaku natte kara to iumono
boku wa koko ni tatasumi
nanika o motomete ikite iru
Ah, kimi o omoi utaundayo
Ah, kimi o omotteiru
Its a section of the lyrics to the song "hold me tight" (Kimi no Machi Made) by Asian Kung-Fu Generation.
I want to continue learning Japanese, and I hope this community will help me in the process.

I can't help you with the translation since I don't have enough knowledge to do so. But I would advice you to start learning japanese by memorizing both hiragana and katakana.
And welcome to the forums.

Hideway san is right, that's the best way to get started .. don't rush things and start with the basics and don't get dependent on romaji .. it's just a help to start and u won't need it later .. ganbatte

Thanks for the advice. Is there any site or reference that anyone may recommend for learning hiragana and katakana?

I'm using wikipedia. Most of the characters have a description of the strokes order which is important. I had a link to a better website, but I unfortuly forgot to save it when I installed windows vista.

BrunuoH did a thread with several websites oriented towards teaching japanese, I didn't bothered to check them all but probably some of them do teach hiragana and/or katakana.

As far as I know, the best way to start is by learning mnemonics for the characters. For that I'm using this website: http://mysite.wanadoo-members.co.uk/nihongo/contents.html
