The Korean "Ring" is absolutely horrible. I gave up after 15 minutes. In that version, Sadako is more pretty than scary. I think once you've seen the Japanese version, you just can't be bothered with the other craptastic incarnations. Korean version is the worst of them all, I don't care if it was staying close to the novel or not or whatever. The American version? Pfft.
 
Ringu over the Ring

There were things in Ringu that I liked better than the Ring and there were things in the Ring that I liked better than Ringu.

Sadako WAS better in Ringu. Oddly in the Ring she did seem more like a psychically driven Stephen King character. I liked the cryptic subtle imagery. And the music was creepier.

In the Ring the relationships were better drawn and not EVERYONE was psychic! The ex-husband, Sadako, and S's mother were psychic in Ringu. I liked the "Lovecraftian" twist (Ringu) that she may have be the spawn of some spirit from the sea.

Magna Carta is an anime? Are you sure? I thought it was a game from Korea. If you like those images and drawings, then I'm sure you'll like War Of Genesis III which is almost the same as Magna Carta in terms of style of drawings. The name of the artist is Hyung Tae Kim. I have a collection of his artwork if you're interested.
 
Po...i'm not sure how much i've missed because i'm terribly lazy but...I still haven't seen "The Ring Virus". But i'll have to let ye know what I thought Goggles. I'm always up for new things (or most of the time...anyways)!
See i've gotten so sick of these dramatic movies with horrible plots that focus on nothing but meaningless relationships with hateful characters (ie: just about every movie made here in America) that I could barely swallow The Ring. Once again, I preferred Ringu. But i'm sorta' biased about that whole thing ^^;
 
In The Ring Virus, I thought the "video" was completely ridiculous. The thing I loved about Ringu, was that screeching violin, the one that plays during the "video" or whenever Sadako is around.
 
Yeah, I like that sound...but I always thought of it as more of a squeaky swing or whatever...it's kinda' hard to place, but DEFINITELY very eerie!
I thought the video in Ringu was pretty cool. Creepy the first time through.
The video in The Ring was nothing short of lame...in fact the whole movie wasn't scary. All I wanted was a nice horror film to curl up with and look what I got...
 
Sadako's eye...now that was...scary...to say the least.
Oh, and the dude who smacked her with a baseball bat...Japan really know how to be unique don't they? That part was freaky too because of the silence and that contrasting white dress even though the film IS black and white.
 
Sadako's eye weirded me out....it seemed almost upside down....
 
Boy They Really Pick On The Ring In...

Scarey Movie 3. The whole movie revolves around that & Signs.

I think you're right about it being upside down. I loved Sadako in Ringu, she's my desktop picture currently on my mac.

Ish, I dunno how i'd feel about logging in to a Sadako on my computer screen everyday....
I remember when I first saw that movie, I watched it and then went to sleep with my head about 6 inches from the TV. I was so sure I saw sadako reflected in the screen. *feels silly*

I had Sadako on my desktop for some time and I even have a screensaver version of the video from the movie. It was fun logging my computer in the morning but at at night when every one is asleep I'd feel as if she's coming out of my computer screen...

A former classmate who knew I was a huge Sadako fan gave it to me... never told me where that came from... I don't even know if its compatible to other OS...
