Dear valued Members,

we have revised and re-promulgated our Forum Rules (Nov 27, 2014, v2.04).

By using the Japan Forum, you agree to comply with our terms, so we recommend you to read them carefully.

We have devised a catalogue of violations and a new infraction system with up to 10 infraction points. Infraction points are temporary, but a threshold of ten points at any given time results in a permanent ban. It's within each Team member's discretion to either warn a member once or several times or to impose infraction points. Members have the right to appeal if they feel they were treated unfairly (please read the Rules for the nitty-gritties).

The Forum Rules are in force in conjunction with our global Terms of Service and the Privacy Statement.

Forum Rules updated on 1 Oct 2016 (v2.07)

adding Sect I.1:

I.1 Display of courtesy

Our members and staff go to great lengths to answer questions and support requests. As a matter of general courtesy and basic "netiquette," we ask posters to acknowledge their efforts by either replying to their thread in a timely fashion or by expressing their gratitude with a "like". While the absence of such civility is deplorable, it will not result in an infraction. Be advised however that any future requests by members deemed discourteous and/or uncooperative may simply be ignored.
