Request concerning thread closures

When a thread is closed could we get some information on that?

Why was it closed?

Who made the decision to close it?

Is the closure permanent or temporary?

Also, the taboo of even defining taboo is something that we could really do without. Thus, a list of forbidden topics or opinions would certainly preempt some thread closures and assist moderators.

For example, it is probably permitted for me to freely disparage modern Chinese soldiers or German and Italian soldiers of the fascist era but NOT American soldiers except maybe pre-WWI. The list could start there I guess.

Better than nothing but you still got a long, LONG way to go fellas.

That was nothing but heavy handed wallowing in mod powers. Give me a break. Off topic? For one thing I was trying to figure out what the topic actually was. But I have been denied that chance.

And that is just another flagrant violation of the disrespect rule.

It should have been moved to the mature section. Instead we get this "Look at me! I can shut it down with a few keystrokes I am so high and mighty!"
