I've made this thread so everyone can post their random thoughts.
I was just reading about the just-ousted Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich.
Doesn't he look JUST LIKE the author Jay McInerney????? The resemblance is uncanny.

OK, not so much in these pictures..... but do you know what I mean!?

Random thought:

Using the washlet is a fine art. If you use it immediately after your duties, and the water pressure is too high, you run the risk of blasting sh*t crumbs everywhere. The best thing to do is to proceed as normal and finish with the washlet, carefully checking first that water temperature and pressure are set appropriately. I have been drinking.

Is intelligence really a general ability, or is it actually a specific set of abilities and mental processes. Why am I not writing my essay... I should have finished it by now. It's not long... I can get it finished in an hour if I 1could only drag myself away from JRef... ...hang on a minute... "sh*t crumbs"?!?!

If you drop a stone into a pond do you just see the ripples?

Perhaps you see between each ripple. Each offers a glance of yourself or those you know. Past, present, and future.

As the ripples reach the ponds end you see the chances you took and the ones you played safe. The flips of a coin: heads, tails, heads, tails, and the rare times when the coin landed on its' edge.

When the ripples have faded are you left with a feeling of doubt or confidence? Knowing all and nothing at the same time. A moment of Zen in a choatic world. Long gone are the ripples from sight, but not from heart nor soul.

I wonder why Disney has not released Pepper Anne on DVD. I would buy the entire series.

Random admission:

I have a plush cellphone holder in the shape of a seal.
I got it at the hyakuen shop.
I'm fine with the idea of having a plush seal hold my phone while I'm at home.

Ashikaga's look-alike post reminded me of another pair.

Jill Scott, the singer currently playing the lead role in "No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency" (based on the series by Alexander McCall Smith) and the Japanese opera/pop singer Mori Kumiko. They look so similar on video/TV!!

I had a 10-minute conversation with a Japanese exchange student who could barely speak English. We had a hard time expressing ourselves but I had fun. Is that weird? XD
