Radicalism on Japanese campuses flourished in the post war period up until about the early 1970s. Today's radicals seem tame in comparison. What happened to all those radicals? Did they all turn into loyal servants of the state and corporations? Were they really radicals or just following left wing fashions? If I try searching for "student radicals today Japan", all I find are articles on kanji radicals.
