Hi all,

Hope you all can advice me on this.

I'm holding a Spouse Visa but my Job Agent told me I still require working visa before I can start working in Japan.

But from my understanding spouse visa can work in japan.
I kinda getting very confuse on this...

anyone can advice.... thanks....!!!! 👍

Just in the case that you are the spouse of a working visa holder (or similar), which would be a dependent visa, and not the spouse of a Japanese/permanent resident (spouse visa), there is some truth to what the job agent says. On a dependent visa alone you would not be able to do a full time job.

OK..!!! I got it....

Yes, my wife is a Japanese and I'm holding a spouse visa.
that is for sure.....

Thanks everyone...!!!

cheers..!!!

That spouse visa is all you need. What sort of work is your agent setting you up with?

is just a normal Engineering job in Japan nothing special.

Then with a spouse visa you're good to go. Is your agent incompetent in other aspects of his job as well?

No, no, no, Mike. You don't ask that sort of thing. What you do is ask, how much does he charge for his incompetency?
