Question about "Group Memberships"

Could anyone explain the purpose of the "Group Memberships" on the profile page of all members?

Of all the members profiles that I have seen so far I have noticed that noone are a member of any "public groups".

How do members go about joining groups or how can a member here find out what groups, if any, there are to participate in?

Couldn't find it ?

I swear this was asked and answered before, but I could not find it? I even searched the Vbulletin software website with no luck. When I click on it it shows two groups, "Donator" and "Moderator", so maybe it has to do with groups that ADMIN forms and uses to run JREF.

I did a search before asking and browsed through the "Support Request" threads but didn't see anything there.

Thanks for looking, I figured that the mod's and admin type people here had their own forum's but was curious about the "public" one's. Thanks for checking it out.

Cureently, we do not use "group memberships". There's more info though in this vB thread.
