I have heard that Japan is a place where people can get hold of cheap electronic goods. Is this true. One place I was told about was through Japanese Wholesalers. Does anyone know of some wholesaler sites that I can look at electronic goods, or can someone tell me the kind of prices things cost in Japan.
Thankyou
Ben

Firstly, its pretty much a myth, if you play the exchange rate right it can work sometimes but overall it aint really that much cheaper. As for wholesaler websites, I cant say i know of any, and those sort of things dont tend to exist in Japan... plus, hows your japanese

Plus where are you from?
You have Japanese only manual, warantee and language issues. Maybe the camera you buy only has Japanese software and firmware for example. If you buy an international version its not very cheap at all.

"Is this true."
maybe haggling in akihabara
i agree with the other two posts, but will search/link to some websites maybe, if op is able to understand Japanese
