anyone out there a fan of prince of persia?

i got the came last christmas and go most of it done in a week. the game has beautiful graphics, and the bantering between the prince and farah is amusing and made me laugh or go 'awww' more than however, the game's major detraction-to me, anyway- was that it' so darn repetitive. you solve a puzzle, fight, solve a puzzle, fight, occassionally you might get lucky and solve a puzzle while fighting. after a while it seemed kinda pointless. the sequel coming out this year, i think, and i heard it was better, in that you acutally do more than just solve puzzles and fight in a never-ending cycle.
i did like, however, the idea of rewinding your mistakes, but i was wondering how original that idea is...it got a lot of hype in the trailers, but i actually only really use two of the powers at all. ☝
 
I've got this game on the PC. I really liked it but like you said, it gets pretty repetative. I really liked the graphics and the animations are really good. But the camera can get really frustrating (the bain of pretty much all 3rd person games).. it has some really neat features in it, i really liked running along the walls 🙂

the prince's agility was pretty cool, and i had the sadistic pleasure of hanging over pits to see if his arms would ever grow tired. the guy's like superhuman, i wish there were some real guys like that O.o. i liked how there were so many actions avaliable for moving around the environment, which was beautiful...
 
Very cool and time consuming game. YEt repetitive. :D Though i did enjoy walking along walls and drinking water for health. :haihai:
 
lol...i laugehd so hard at the beginning of the game over the music they play when he drinks water! :D they made it into this sweeping dramatic moment, everytime!

the prince leans over to drink water...the world holds its breath, waiting...
HE DRINKS!!!!! *dramatic, inspiring music with hallulujah chorus in background*
 
I played this on XBOX, did not enjoy it much so it sat around the whole time I had it until it got returned to the rental place.
