Post-graduation in Japan

Hi jref members,
I'm Prateek currently studying my final year of engineering (undergraduation) Mechanical stream in India. I would like to do my masters/post-graduation in engineering(Mechanical related) in Japan with the medium being English. And I'm also open to learning Japanese language and I find the culture and history fascinating. What are the different ways I can get admitted to a Japanese University?
What exams I've to write and how can i prepare for the same?
Any Indian students already there? Please. Your guidance is like gospel.

I'm also doing my Computer Engineering here in India, I'm also interested in getting the Master's Scholarship for MEXT. I looked up on Google but I couldn't get some specific answers.

I heard you can join as a Research Student and then pass a University Entrance Exam. After passing the exam we could upgrade to a Master's scholarship.

Can someone please give us some specifics?
