Off-topics

okay, understood. :)

Where I can find who is responsible for each section? is there something like this?

Thanks for patience with me. :D

If you click on "View Forum Leaders" on the front page(which is kind of between the Site Feedback section and the "Currently Active Users"), it will tell you who moderates which section. Also, if you click on "J-Pop Forum"(or any other forum) and look on the bottom right of the page under "Display Options", it will tell you who moderates it(Twisted in J-Pop).

How the hell do you do screenshots?! I have never known....

Ok, thanks to Duooooooo, I now know how to do it.... 😍 Duo.

Anyway....here's what I was talking about:

Thank you. :) There is too much links comparing to phpBB so I wouldn't notice it otherwise. I should be ashamed.

Looks like, you've learned something new as well ;)

The thing is that everytime I log on, and check for new posts I get a TON of music related threads...only since a few months ago this started, before that there where TONS of japan-related threads. And I think only talk about j-music is a waste of the forum ☝ I hearby call upon everyone to post also more japan-related stuff...not wich j-rocker has the best teeth  !!

HAHA..hear, hear!!
I also thought the teeth-thread was rather..."special"..:D
Weird...

Chit-Chat? Not chit-chat!

I don't think that anyone has anything against any posts...but a good idea would be to allow people to block certain subforums from their search of new posts! For example...if I am uninterested in the J-pop forum then when I do a "new post since last visit" search, no posts in the J-pop forum will show in my search view. Others would be able to block out other sub forums such as "chit-chat", "politics", or whatever they really don't want to hear about!

And, please never do anything about "Chit-Chat" guys! That is where I broke into this place (J-Cars). I was looking for stuff about the Subaru WRX STi and voila there you are were!

I love talking about cars. I wish more people did also.

*shrug* Whatchagonnado?

me 2...but on the other hand, 70% of the members lately only comes here to flood the forum with JPOP,ANIME stuff.... :banghead:

That's because, when you think about it, those are the two mediums that (younger) people are introduced to first most of the time, me included. And it's no secret that "J-Fans" are primarily younger (teens - early twenties). I admit that I don't have much of a clue as to what's actually going on over in Japan at the moment, and though I'm interested in knowing, I keep most of my posts in the Anime, J-Pop, Video Game, and Non-Japan sections, since that's what I know the most about. And yeah, I post a lot of nonsense. That's what "kids" do. but I try to contribute meaningful posts, too. I think my reputation (though obviously meager compared to many seasoned members) shows that.

I wasn't going to post in this thread...I didn't want to seem like I was just jumping in to get attention. But I figured I'd at least give my views. So, take them as you will. 🙂

The Good Ol Days!!!

I seem to remember a little over a year ago we complained about too many intellectual posts. We had several scholars (Noyhauser, etc.) who posted long, detailed, very thoughtful posts. We had many who complained how they were boring & took to long to read. So the brains gave up and left, at least many of them seem to have. It's easy to read posts and comment/ignore, but how many of us take the time to start a new post? It takes some real effort to come up with new posts that get a lot of responses.
I have to admit, I come up with very little that concerns Japan, concidering this is a Japan related Forum.Let's all put on our thinking caps and creat some new & interesting posts like we like to see others do.
