Just to say "hello", and to let people know who I am. I am from the San Francisco Bay area, I'm caucasian, and I've been to Japan about 35 times (after a while you quit counting!). My ex-wife is from Inuyama (Aichi-ken), but I have been from Tokyo-> Kobe->Nagano. I last visited Kyoto (it has been almost 20 years since I had been their last), Tokyo, and Yamanshi in september/october of 2004. I enjoy many things about the Japanese people, the culture, the history, and the diacotomy of their love of things western.

I am a practicing Buddhist, used to play taiko, and did martial arts for many years. Some people might call me a "tamago-jin" (white on the outside, and yellow on the inside ) but I enjoy Japan alot.

I hope to learn even more from all you wonderful people here. Please help me to learn more.
