I'm going to send nengajo ( Japanese new years cards) to some of my friends this year.

How would you say something like, " I wish you and your family a happy, healthy year"?

I would like to ask about the date to put on the card.
Is it supposed to be the date of the Heisei year to come during the new year?
(ie. for 2010 -> Heisei 22)

Just write in English: Happy New Year 2010. Many Japanese send cards like that anyway, and they will easily be able to read those few words. Not many people use the Heisei designation, either.

You'd better get your cards in the mail pronto, or they will not be delivered on time. It may be too late already.
