I know when I was younger I enjoyed this system SOOOOO much. What games did you enjoy the most on this console? I like Yoshi's Story. You know... the one where they're in a book and stuff. Sweet. I also enjoyed Super Smash bros. Also Pokemon statium 1 and 2. WHat bout you??

I still do enjoy the N64 from time to time!

Mariokart may have been a bit disappointing, but it was still fun and I must have racked up hundreds of hours on that with friends.

Faves for me were Goldeneye (naturally!) then later the incomparable Perfect Dark, Mario 64 and Super Smash Bros :)

I have a mighty PS3 now, but my sis's boyfriend bought himself a Wii for Christmas with Mario Galaxy, and I'm more than a wee bit jealous...

All the ones you've already stated... Zelda ocarina of time did it for me :D I played that game over and over from beginning to end xD Super mario 64 is another classic >:3 (just played it an hour ago xD) Mario kart 64= toad's best voice acting ever. And was really fun too.

I donno, n64 definitely harbored some of the series best games.

Oops, sorry, forgot Link and Navi there for a second...another game that makes the old 64 stand out as a legend imo, and far better than Twilight even.

I couldn't agree more - the black box definitely had some of the best ever first and second party games for its time. It was just the lack of awesome third-party titles that led to a few years in the wilderness for Kyototendo.

I know it's never going to happen, but if only they'd release Perfect Dark for the Wii with online play and enhanced graphics ... 😇😍

I agree *0* The best game of Nintendo N64 I have ever played can be Zelda Ocarina of Time :)
But classical games likes Mario Kart, Donkey Kong series or Goldeneye weren't bored 👍 And one day my N64 leave the shadows :-)

Hmm, never liked N64 much, my last Nintendo console was SNES, FFVII already came on PSX, so I kinda... didn't buy a N64 later when it came.

My favs are Mario Kart, Turok Dinosaur Hunter and Turok Seeds of evil. But I haven't played them for a long time (preferrably I use to play Xbox 360 - GOW, Condemned, Call of Duty 4, Dead Rising and many more)

My fav N64 games back in the N64 days were Goldeneye, Zelda Ocarina of Time, Mario Smash Brothers and many of the other mario games, and Pokemon Stadium 😊 .

Oh beloved zelda !

to me, well , the best of the best on N64 was undoubtedly ZELDA OCARINA OF TIME 😍 developing so many new concepts...it was just ✌️

Memories...

I had such great times with the N64. Back in the day there was nothing more satisfying then playing a game of Killer Instinct Gold, Super Smash Brothers, Goldeneye 007, Diddy Kong Racing or Mario Kart 64 with my friends on a friday night and then continuing onto saturday. Of course lets not forget the solo stuff, Duke Nukem 64, Zelda Ocarina of Time, Mario 64...
I miss my childhood :(

N64 was my first console . Best N64 games are Mario Kart , Mario 64 , Super Smash bros ,Mario Party, Goldeneye and Zelda : Ocarina of time :-)

This console was amazing.

Of course there was ocarina of time, mario 64, banjo and kazooee

Mario carts was my favourite, that game was just soo much fun.

Nitendo was a lot of fun then, then came the gamecube which took out a lot of the fun and then wii put the fun right back in there

Mario Kart was and still is amazing. Better than what they had on the GameCube or Wii.

I'm not much of a gamer but....

I was in a "recycle" shop a couple months ago and much to my delight I found a complete N64 system for a little over 2000 yen (about $20). 10 years ago my roommate had one and we used to play it all the time so I thought "I must have this!" and bought it.

The other good thing is that there are a number of recycle shops in my area that sell N64 games for 100-500 yen each, which is quite cheap. I've been able to get most of my favorites (MarioKart, Goldeneye, etc) and its actually been a lot of fun. Got an extra controller so my wife and I play MarioKart all the time.

Its definitely an awesome system (I agree, give me an N64 over a gamecube anyday!)

Can't say that I've played N64 much. I jumped from SNES to GameCube, via the PS. I did buy an N64 from a charity shop just for the collection, but never got around to playing anything, just because I always have a queue of newer games I want to play. One to come back to when I retire I guess :D

Too many to choose!

My favs were always bomberman, LoZ:OoT (of which i have the most Godly record possible ^-^), ummm F-zero i think it was... that was good, Harvest moon hands down great game and surprizingly not violent in any respect who knew... very addictive, and when Starcraft came out for the 64 I was all over it!, I'm the suicide assassin in goldeneye love it!, Quest 64 kept me ammused for hours, paper Mario is amazing!!!, starwars shadows of the empire was the first game i got and it's still amuzing (die boba fett die! bwahahahaha!), and that's all my favs... I might be missing a star wars one... maybe oh well but yeah I spent hours with that console i still own it and i have two more i'm trying to repair (keyword!) stupid funky screws lol ^-^

Those were the good old days....

1) Zelda: Orcarina of Time
2) Super Smash Bros.
3) Pokemon Stadium
4) Bomber Man

and lots other...just forget!

I have to say the two zelda games were the best. Smash Brothers was also a fav of mine. :)

The N64 was all about the Zeldas and Super Smash Brothers for me. Other games like Mario Kart and Mario Tennis were also big favorites of mine. The there's that old snowboarding game, 1080. The only game my pops would ever play with me.

Maybe I'm just old and nostalgic now. It seems like games back then had a lot more lasting appeal. I hardly use my xbox 360 for anything other than Netflix these days. But I'll still throw down against anyone who wants to play some old school smash brothers, haha.

Mystical Ninja : Starring Goemon.
Zelda was a flashier game, but Mystical Ninja was just so much more gnarly of an adventure because there was such more ground to explore and get lost in. Majora's Mask was pretty damn awesome though - there was so many sidequests for an adventure game back then.

Super Smash Brothers - purchased in fifth grade on a school trip to NYC.
Perfect Dark - owns Goldeneye so hard. RARE improved their FPS big time.

Star Wars: SotE, Rogue Squadron
