Musicisgood's Shikoku cycling journey

Hi guys I got a cord yeah I finally got to went to Lawson's and the guy let me use electricity there but actually they turned it on shut down had a couple had orange juice actually I stayed there for 2 hours and charge my phone like 75% right now I'm at a roadside bikers stop and it's raining and and raining and raining I'm on the last bridge coming up and then the next time and I don't know if it's just hard probably I'll look for someplace cheap though stay tonight instead of pitch tent what are you guys think

Hey guys I finally did it man I completed everything today yeah and it was raining all smacking day. I mean I was soaking wet I went to Cafe cycle guest hotel I got there too late they close at 5:00 so I end up for the next 3 hours looking for a hotel I finally I went to one hotel and I didn't take off my raincoat and when they looked at me the manager talked the lady next to him no man don't let him have a room tonight .anyway he was pretty cool he told me to go to the train station and there's a lot of hotels there anyway I took off my raincoat and went into another hotel and they were really pretty cool they gave me a decent room for 5600 yen and I checked the weather for tomorrow it's 100% rain so I went back to the office a few minutes ago told him I'm going to stay here another day. So I'm not getting wet tonight yeah I wish I am soaking wet so I'm going to relax tonight it's pretty cool place too they have free soft drinks and coffee they comes with breakfast a buffet type breakfast I'm sure it's just jam and bread and a little fruit and coffee and juices whatever but yeah this is close to the train station.
I can post some pictures now so I'll be uploading them.
 
Yeah definitely support the hotel. The point of this whole thing is not to be miserable. I hope the rain moves on. Is it still tsuyu or is rainy season supposedly finished?

I haven't heard anything about the end of the ratings season yet it's going to rain tomorrow and then later in the weekjust going to rain again so I just going to have to face the rain hopefully set up the tent or find a cheap hotel again I'll be doing the all around Shikoku now and tomorrow because I'll stay in the hotel I'll be posting the pictures that I've done for the day and a half okay thanks a lot for following me really appreciate it.

Yes I feel the same way about that too when you have the light spring rain and also you can see the rainbow at times also it's just such a peaceful moment and one's life when this happens.
 
July 1Saturday
Heavy rain in Imabari, Shikoku. Staying another day at hotel.
Buffet breakfast. I should have taken a picture. A good 900 yen breakfast that was included with the room.

Ok, l will post some pictures later.

It was raining cats and dogs all day. But was really nice , there's no wind or very little wind. Riding on the bridges you think to be a heavy crosswind but not today there wasn't so I'm really lucky.
I'm not sure which is better a rainy day cycling or 100° with heavy winds.
It looks like this week there's a couple more rainy days coming in.

You sure got that right I was soaking wet I mean even my shoes felt like they were 5 lb each.
Yeah nice warm shower at 11:00 at night really feel good anyway I'm staying here again today heavy rains so we'll see what tomorrow brings like supposed to clear up I understand.
I did the whole Shimanami kaido in 2 days. One night camping in the rain .
 
Are you planning to head back the way you came, or are you cycling around shikoku at all?

If the weather continues to suck it may not be worth it, but the ride between Imabari and Matsushima is really nice and the coastal roads are flat

I intend to spend the next two weeks I guess up till July 15th to 16th cycling shikoku and then I'm going to stop at Matsuyama and there I'll take the ferry to yanai.
I'm not going to go back to Onomich and then go back down to Yamaguchi.anai
though.
I'll take the train from Yanai to Yamaguchi. I am not going to ride my bike on route 2 down from Hiroshima to Yamaguchi route 2 is suicidal. I already did that by bicycle and I told myself I am never going to do that again.

Yeah I agree with you going up the mountains or hills actually walking like I don't know 40 minutes on one Hill I mean it's and it was pouring down raining but hey this is an adventure but yeah no joke man a nice adventure so far.

Looking at Google Maps, the area between Hiroshima and Iwakuni seems to be a veritable traffic bottleneck. There aren't any quiet backroads. It's probably best to take the train at least to Iwakuni.

I think cycling around in Shikoku for about 2 weeks is really going to be pretty tired some . And really I want to stay off around route 2, it's dangerous as all heck.
Today it's raining here in Shikoku.
I think it will rain all day.
 
Same here in Kantō. Definitely a day off the bicycle.

If you come across Imabari towel stores, send us some pictures.
 
According to the weather forecast, it seems to be relatively fine as for the Seto Inland Sea side in a week of Shikoku.

A rain day is 5th, 8th in Shikoku.
The Kochi side has bad weather for one week.
As a way is small in the general way of Shikoku, and there are many window sblind curves, please be careful.

July 2nd Sunday l leave lmabari and head south on the east side coast. It's going to rain a few days also. But that's my plan. I'm having trouble with Google maps trying to find free campsites along the east coast side if you know of any campsites that are free can you post them on here I've got Yahoo maps that I just downloaded but obviously it's in Japanese but I heard it seemed better than Google maps for Japan.
