Miyavi

actually... i just realised *is dence*.... you really CAN'T say he's talentless... he CAN sing... i should know, i'm a singer... have been forever... he has an amazing range, and you may not like the sound he produces, but he can sing. yes, his voice is very different to sakito's (in my opinion better, but i still live sakito ^.^)
so... yeah... i mean, he can sing... quite blatantly... so... yeh.... miyavi rules! *lame comment of the year*
 
I never said he was talentless...I think the guy can play the guitar pretty well
He was pretty good in Due le quartz, I Don't think his singing voice is quite there though.....so what I'm saying is that he is extremely overated and does not even compare to any of the greatest Jrock/visual kei bands.
 
I don't see in what way he couldn't be compared with other bands/singers/artists? Just because you might be more into Dir en Grey or Malice Mizer or whatever, doesn't give you the right to say Miyavi is crap compared to them. He obviously manages to be successful, even when competing with all the other jrockers out there; him being overrated probably has more to do with you not liking his 'I'm-a-total-god-and-I'm-in-love-with-myself-so-now-you-should-all-worship-me' attitude, which I can agree on is sort of... challenging in the annoying way? (I like it tho...!!!! *jumps up and down*)
 
well ya he's good at guitar ^^ however i must say he's not the greayest singer. i like his voice, but it's not lovely singing.
 
Does anyone have the pictures when he dressed up like a gypsy. I have one from that shoot. I think he looks really pretty in that. It would be fun to draw. Maybe drawing him will help nudge me out of this weird hate for him. :?

*nods* so true.... i regually compare him to gackt... and people will probably hate me for doing so... iyaiv's so much better in my opinion. ok, gackt's a better singer, but i prefer miyavi's voice because it's more my thing... like, there's more veriation... if that makes much sence
 
Actually the geisha one scares me...

...and I don't get it either. They look really different. Someone actually confused a Toshiya picture as Gackt... that just killed me... as much as Miyavi and Toshiya don't look alike... Gackt and Toshiya look 300 times less alike than Miyavi and Toshiya do.

He does look rather pretty there. I love the dress... he reminds me a bit of the drummer of 12012 who's name escapes me at the moment.

Well meev is much skinnier but the hair and face and clothing made me think of him.

I'll see if I can find a picture... I don't have any on this computer. I'm too lazy to switch to my laptop... haha.

OK these weren't the ones I was looking for but after like an hour of searching I got tired... maybe I'm weird but I think there are similarities. The other pictures were much more similar...

He has such a cute tummy... pokes at it.

Haha... I couldn't forget that... they are one of my favorite bands... it's hard to find and information in English for them and I only know very little Japanese.
 
Would you guys consider Miyavi Jrock, Jpop, or Visual kei?
My friend says he is Visual kei, but I don't think he is.....he seems
more like his own thing....I guess.....maybe Jpop??
 
he's definatly not as VK as he was... tho he still dresses up a lot, lol. i wouldn;t call him jpop... this being my opinion of 'pop' and miyavi really don't mix... but i see where you're coming from with the jrock look too... he doesn't exactly fit into that catagory either... he doe's have his own style, i'd say he was jrock, he's too heavey to be anything elses, lol.
meh... i don't know... now that's gunna bug me...
