I can... sort.. of understand what you're saying. Although I don't agree, I see your point. Miyavis whole conceitedness has grown and he has turned into a selfish, own persona loving, verrry childish bishonen. I personally love this!pinkkillerkisou said:Well... I'm announcing a huge shift in my opinion of Miyavi. Many pages ago I said I like him (and I still do in a very small amount) but his appeal to me has practically diminished. He bugs me quite alot.... his stupid face... conceitedness. THere is only so much of it I can take before I want to hit the man. There are hundreds of other more talented people out there. Why does he think he is best? Some of his songs don't bother me but most do now. I don't even find him all that attractive anymore... haha. What happened to me? :?
Pjusk said:maybe you'r ill or something...he might not be the best..alone...but I really love him, and no one beats his looks and the way he behaves...
but of course thats my opinion...

I personally love this!I just can't get enough of his wierd expressions and dances. I could... agree that there probably people out there who are more talented than him, but he IS actually quite talented himself: he's good at guitarr, and he has a special, own voice. as for the voice, I guess some love it and others can't stand it. And... Miyavis looks are really just perfect. Try to find ANY flaws on the man and...well.. you wont! I can really understand WHY he loves himself; he's gotten the perfect skinny body, perfect height (unusually tall for a japanese) and a very very feminine bishonen face. He's pure beauty. I can understand that if you don't like his personality though, you probably wont like the way he looks either.
I guess, what Miyavi's done, is he found a character that suited him, and found that it's working. He's got tons of fangirls loving his selfishness *don't look at me*, and I guess since he's noticing it's working, he's not gonna stop. All that fame also nurtures his ego...
As for his songs, I think they're fun. Miyavi changes a lot, and every new song he does has something new in it and a new style. The way he jumps from genre to genre makes it all very interesting.
I wouldn't mind having you hit Miyavi though - he could really need a good beating sometimes... XDDD
It's OK if you don't like Miyavi *tackles you* Although... (I don't know what's wrong with you)... haha!

I think you said perfectly in you little paragraph why some people dislike him. If you look at it from the other perspective if he were anyone else with the same conceitedness and love of self would you like him? Of course not. Those are anything but admirable quality in a person.furan said:well, i've just joined this forum, cos my google searches always bring me back here.
i just wanna say... myv... there's something about him that just draws ppl in. i mean, i can tottaly inderstand why some peple dislike him. a lot of his music is (iy you've ever tryed to listen to the backing, you'll agree with me) just noize... but good noize.
i personaly love his voice, and i think it's just so expressive.
yes, he's self-centered, and loves himself... but hell, if i were him, i would too.
i love due' le quartz, miyabi definatly had the style that miyavi perhaps lacks now...
lol... well, i have close to 200 pics of the guy on my comp all in all... so so many pv's and songs, he's deffinatly a personal fave, but, i can definatly understand why some people dislike him so....

Yes, I like Freedom Fighters a lot! It's good song and catchy too (most of Myvs songs are!) I'm really liking how Miyavi changes styles a lot and experiments - not very conservative. I also like his new hair; black with rainbow colors on top! *giggle* pretty... Could you send it to me when you get it, please? *sparkly eyes*DemonHunter said:his his Freedom Fighter single good?
downloading it now, including a (LQ) version of the PV
the tatoos on his back are from budism books(equivaltent of bible?)and sayings, like a section of it. pretty hard to traslate...T_T hmm it's basically about the budist ways of life and its a guide to guide people into becoming nirvana... very very deep meanings... hard to understand...isayhello said:The letters on his back are in chinese, or so I've heard (from Miz) ... Hey, Miz, wherever you are; translate, translate! The letters are pretty clear in this picture!
*sits and waits for Miz to translate*
Yay! Thanks! At least now I know a little about what it says...mizerable_d said:the tatoos on his back are from budism books(equivaltent of bible?)and sayings, like a section of it. pretty hard to traslate...T_T hmm it's basically about the budist ways of life and its a guide to guide people into becoming nirvana... very very deep meanings... hard to understand...

He is one of the worst artist to ever hit the J-pop/J-rock scene.
i have to disagree, i've heard way worse. plus Miyavi isnt bad, i like his randomness.BlackDragon said:Miyavi....heh....He puts Japanese music to shame.

DON'T AGREE. Miyavi is talented: check out his guitarr solos and you can't say he's a bad artist. Wether you like him or not is your own buisness, but he does NOT put music to shame: he's good new ideas, and he's fun to watch - he's entertaining and talented. He's not a bad artist at all! Besides, his voice is like nothing I've ever heard before and that makes him unique (among other things)BlackDragon said:Miyavi....heh....He puts Japanese music to shame.
