Miyavi

I know that the real Miyavi does have a myspace. There are also other Miyavi pages where someone could be pretending to be him. You said that he messaged you yesterday, but he has his messages turned off when he is away (probably cause of the peace & smile carnival tour?)
 
miyavi on myspace? right.. ive met accouple miyavi role players on myspace but i highley doubt miyavi really does have a myspace and is on constantly, if hes touring and stuff
 
Oh, come on. I would have been suspicious if he had told me who he was, but I had to figure it out myself. Do you have any idea how much time he spent on his computer yesterday? He must always be on his MAC.

But assumptions can be made if it's hard to believe. I don't care, I just thought it'd be interesting to share.

Edit: Didn't see the last two posts. He does have a MySpace, and he wasn't away yesterday, at least not for the most part. He came off and on. And he prefers to call it his "Peace, Love, Carnival" tour. Haha.
 
Yeah, if I was as famous as him I would be on all the time talking to my fans secretivly haha I think it would be so fun! He is probably worse than us, he probably goes online just looking at fan sites for himself starring at his pictures lol.
 
Nah. I think the reason he likes talking to me is that I don't treat him like God. He says he appreciates his fans, but after a while you would get tired of people worshipping you, no matter how cool it sounds. I feel sorry for him.
 
Well, I am sure it is like that for any person in the public eye. I sure dont treat him like a "god" because he isn't. When it comes down to it he is just a normal person who happens to have been blessed with a lot of talents and great looks.

I have pleanty of friends who are what most people would call "famous" and that is how most celebrities feel. (except maybe the really cocky and lame ones) Why would someone want to be good friends with a person who just went on and on about how hot they were or acted so nervous and jumped up and down like a fool when they were around them. There is a difference between a fan, and a friend when you become famous. Then there is something in between when your friends are also a fan of you, but still treat you the same. Most celebrities would rather you talk to them like normal people, ask them how they are doing, and talk about everyday things rather then only talking about their band, or what movie they were in, or whatever it is they do.
Dont take this the wrong way, cause it isn't meant to put you down at all it is just my personal preferance. I am weird about stuff like that, I would rather keep it to myself then go on and telling the world that I know certain people who are famous. That is why most of my close friends never even find out who some of the people are that I know because I fear they would treat me different or try to use me for "hook ups"

If it really is Miyavi, then that is great! I would just be sceptical if it was the real him or not, since there are quite a few people on myspace pretending to be him.
 
And that's really how you have to treat everyone. I've been in the famous boat before, and it's annoying when people won't stop jumping over you. I respect him for dealing with it in the first place.

And I am very very non-skeptical of him, purely because, I can't describe how, but everything he has shown me, from the personalized picture to the messages he sends, it just screams Miyavi to me. I actually didn't know who Miyavi was besides a little of how he looked, and then I met him and I remembered a little bit. It was really refreshing.
 
When you say met him, do you mean just over the internet? cause that is getting confusing haha. How do you just stumble across miyavi on myspace if you didn't even really know who he was?

What were you famous for?
 
Yes, through MySpace. The chances are no different than if I actually knew the guy. I met him through a group, I can't tell which because it's sort of hated by most. I didn't think much of it.

I wasn't superstar famous or anything, just very well-known in my county for my sarcastic, humorous, and smart nature. Once people saw my grades and my hand always in the air, they respected me at once, all the way through Elementary School. I liked it, but it did get annoying. So it was nothing HUGE, but even at the level I was, it was a lot to deal with.

I feel you on that, I know if I was famous I would get tired of people prying into my life, and the fans sometimes. It must be pretty tiring. I know I am personally a REALLY private person and as much as it seems awesome to be famous and everybody dreams of being famous I know that I couldn't handle it at all, no matter the perks, that and the fact that I am camera shy and stage frightened.

The whole fame thing I think alot of people love it and I am sure Miyavi just laps it up, but I can see him getting tired of sometimes.

Like Alonely I know a couple of famous people. In fact I went to school with Solange (Beyonce's sister for anyone who doesn't know) she is really cool and I have met her sister and the rest of the girls of DC. She said that it was kind of hard knowing who her real friends were, cause everyone wanted to know her for her sister. Like Alonely, I knew who her sister was (Who in the World doesn't know who Beyonce is her music has just Saturated the Pop scene) and I knew she had a sister, I didn't know who the hell her sister was.

I also know some lesser known celebrities, (mostly rappers) cause my dad has some dealings in the music business. For the most part though except for occasional meetings I don't talk to me, cause they are afraid of my dad lol there was one who liked me, but said he would never "go there with me cause your dad has a really big gun and knows some scary people" lol

Wow Miyavi has a myspace account. Doesn't really come as a surprise cause any Miyavi fan worth their salt knows he is just a wee bit addicted to his Mac lol.
 
So if he's on myspace and messaging people then Miyavi is fluent in English?
 
Oh okay, I thought maybe you were a musician or something else of that nature. That is an interesting way of being famous. Yeah, if you got annoyed at that level, imagine being Miyavi? Miyavi loves it thought. I am a lot like him (maybe not as crazy but close at times but I can talk non stop forever too haha) so I know I would definitely enjoy it like he does, but I am sure with anything at times it does get rough. You really do need to have a certain personality and everything to be able to handle something like that. I can relate with his Mac addictions. I have a 20" iMac, 17" iMac, 15" iMac (one of each I guess lol) and a Powerbook G4. I am obsessed with apple computers. I have the logo on my car, and on my keyboard haha. I am a dork. "computer club computer club" (quote from the movie Encino Man lol)
 
Well, I will put it this way Tiff.. he is like 100 times more fluent than Tsukasa lol.
 
Wow, If Miyavi is fluent in English like that it makes me think 2 things, that he did very well in school, or it sort of kinda goes with my suspicions that he isn't all the way Japanese, cause I have been believing that for a while.

And that he is probaly just faking his fake Engrish which we all so love.
 
Miyavi can't speak english. Japanese people are known for butchering the english language. www.engrish.com

I always think he isn't full blooded japanese. He is so tall, and light, and besides his eyes his features aren't very japanese... but then again I don't look anything like what my nationality is so he very well could be full blodded. A lot of japanese people can read and write english, so he could be good at that and not so much speaking it.

I don't want to sound mean or anything, but I just find it hard to believe some1 who didn't really remember Miyavi to begin with could really know if it's him or not...

There are a lot of Miyavi pages on myspace though. One of them I am 90% sure is him, the others are not. I agree with you completely matchstickfan.

Yea at first I thought he was mixed but there is always one freak in the litter look at Yao Ming (sp?) he is 7'6 and chinese and there is no way you can dispute that because he looks 100%.

As for his english I have seen some of his interviews and stuff the man comes off as having severe ADHD and if he is really that damn hyper and jumpy I think it would be extremely hard for him to learn another language especially english.
 
Yeah I am almost positive he is ADHD haha. Well a lot of people who are ADHD can learn things easily, it depends. My friend reminds me of Miyavi a lot, he is ADHD and dislexic. He moved to China and lived there for a few years and he speaks chinese so well you wouldn't even know he was american if you were on the phone with him. Also, musicians that play by ear, have an easier time learning other languages I have heard, that is another reason my friend learned chinese so fast, and so well. Miyavi is smart, he is just eccentric lol. Maybe he spends so much time on the internet he had to learn to read english well haha!
 
Okay, so I just went on a Miyavi myspace search because I'm a loser and you all made me curious. The one fansite is hilarious, they're pretending to be Miyavi, but in the pictures section there are 2 pictures of Aoi and one of Kaoru ...haha, they can't even tell Miyavi apart from the other two, that's hilarious to me. So anyways, I know which Miyavi alonely is takling to, but hmmm... Oh, and Miyavi is SO ADHD, but that's okay, I think that adds to him being a great musician.

Plus, I think I have ADD, but it's never been diagnosed. My attention span is EXTREMELY short.

Even if Miyavi is ADD or ADHD (which he probaly is) doesn't mean he can't learn anything. My Cousin is ADD ADHD and besides a few behavioral problems make Excellent grades and is on the honor roll.

I seriously doubt its that easy to get to Miyavi. I cant try it cause I'm at work and MySpace is filtered. But I doubt he would be that obvious if it was really him, I mean he would just get a TON of annoying spam. I already get a ton of spam on my myspace and I am not famous.

Yea I know you always have one in the bunch who is different. Some people might take this the wrong way, but my take on Yao Ming, is that he is just an exception, and that he is a giant. Most people who reach heights over 7 ft have some type of medical disorder that makes them that tall. And while yes Japanese people can read and write english better than most native speakers, there is still something in Miyavi that screams MIXED. It doesn't have to be American but its something. He is to tall, and some features just aren't very asian. And I know several people who are mixed asian and other race, and I can tell every single time I see them that they aren't pure, even before they tell me. Of course one I knew very easily considering that he is my cousin and I know his dad.
 
That isn't his real site, they aren't talking about his music page, they are talking about his personal page I believe.
