I guess it's how you were brought up with Miyavi.
People who started liking him from his major would probably never tell the difference.
I was brought up from him with Jibun Kakumei two years ago. I guess i'm inbetween. there are indie fans, the middle-indie fans, and the major. o-O

hmm, I don't think I was any of those really. I just downloaded 3 of his songs that I'd heard of (Girls, be ambitious, Ashita tenki ni naare, and tome to juri), and I didn't really like them much *ducks for cover again* but then I saw clip of him playing acoustic guitar and I also heard his playing as Miyabi with DLQ, and I thought "wow this guy can play guitar something hot - shame I can't hear too much of it on his solo stuff".

But then, like I say, I got hold of Miyavizm and liked it.

I guess 3 songs isn't enough to base a judgement on... but if I don't like, I don't listen to more, so...

... I guess. But I like all of Miyavi's stuff. I think his ever-changing current solo career is a lot of fun! I don't divide into an indie fan or anything, I think......... besides, his newest (Miyavizm) is, as Kinsao says, not really pop. Or do I have a strange view on what is pop/rock? I think Miyavizm is most definitely rock - maybe not the hardest type, but still rock.

Miyavi is still considered rock. He isn't like Gackt (pop).
He is rock but he isn't like.. dark rock as he used to be.
I don't know, he's really hard to decipher.
He's... fun rock? :/

Dark rock? Miyavi? Nooo.... I'd never call Miyavi "dark" rock. I'm with isay, I like all his songs. I really think his earlier stuff from his indies days were more pop than anything really... or else we're both like wack. I have Miyavizm, and I really don't find pop in it, not really anyways. It's way more rock, and I think a little heavier than his indies stuff, if just a tinge.

Just spitting out opinions here, no need to get touchy. Miyavi's so in love with himself, he can defend himself

double posting: omg! I just got the cutest live with Meevers - it's pop is dead, live at budokan... he turns the song into some strange ballad at the beginning XDDDD but then it's really good! OMG - he can really sing pretty! I will upload and FORCE you to watch it!

oh man i just got the limited edition miyavizm... it's...different. but i like it because it is miyavi... the bonus track is really good thogh, even if it takes like 5 minutes to get to the actual song......but i loves it because it is miyavi and he is worth the wait!

☝ i started with Jibun Kakumei - 2003 - and i've liked everything he's come out with since then. ☝ Jibun Kakumei is very popish, i think his stuff like Galyuu and Miyavizm are actually more rock. maybe not as intense as Gariben Rock all the time, but he still has stuff that's close. but i would never refer to Jibun Kakumei as rock or indies. to me it is very much pop rock. i love it, don't get me wrong. i'm just saying his more recent stuff seems more intense to me, but then again i don't really think you can fit myv into one category, he's a bit all over the place, but that to me is why he's so fun.
but then ah, well, i'm not too parshal, i'll listen to anything...

I have that live DVD!!! I LOVE it!!! He is so awesome live! He says "WOO!" so many times It's great. I love it. I can't wait till I get my D'espa live. Then I can gush bout that one too. But this is MYV thread, and MYV is fantastic live, I love how he did that with POP is dead. He's so damn good!

Miyavi's always been skinny, but not unhealthily so, I agree with isay, hmm... and now that I think about it, his legs did look a little too thin in the making of... I haven't watched it in a while though -goes to watch it-

Yes, I have it on DVD. I'm not sure what to do though, I don't know how to rip DVDs, both the music and the visual all together. All I can do is the audio I don't want to upload live versions of songs, because it'd be torturous. But buy the DVD as soon as you can, it's great. I love it. And I have a very strong feeling that you would too.

That first picture..... -immediate nosebleed- It's so damn hot, you're righ! But then again, it IS MYV.

ahahaha.... skinny myv? well, for his 180cm height, 57kg (his weight) IS just too small... no wonder his legs look like sticks (or even less...)...

but yeah, once again, he looks healthy... so everything's cool japanese people--especially celebrities/artists commonly have that kind shape of body i guess... :?
