pointlessneedles I REALLY doubt that he's not a fake maybe just a fan too who read such thing somewhere and yeah it would be really amazing if he made a tour in Europe I'd die if I could see him
yeah and about his father being politician... no it can't be true it's not a secret that there's still discrimination towards foreigners especially Asians yeah.. Gai-jins... and women also though as we discussed before it's all because of history...

oh... about that, i didn't say it was miyavi's FATHER who's actually in the line of politics. Miyavi's real surname is LEE (a korean surname) after all, and he admitted this on a certain interview. however, his surname went back to Ishihara after his parents had a divorce. Ishihara is actually a Japanese surname and it is his mother's. It's just that by the way miyavi talked about his surname (Ishihara) it did seem like he was trying to imply that his surname is kinda "BIG" and he doesn't want to use it's influence to make him even more popular. Though, I kinda absorbed Jou's point of view about this. Miyavi may not be from the political dynasty if Ishihara is a common name. However, i kinda disagree with the fact that most asian names are common. Well I'm Asian and everyone (or so) with my surname is actually a relative even if I don't know them personally.

So that's it... Just clarified the thing about Miyavi's being "korean". Of course, the Lee family would never dare enter politics. I had researches about this Mr. Ishihara in Tokyo and found out that he actually had biases against Korean. That, however, doesn't mitigate the fact the Miyavi's mother, which is an Ishihara, is a realtive, though she had married a Korean....

well, if you think about this, is it possible that Miyavi's parents got divorced simply because the Ishihara's greatly despise the Lee family? ☝
 
Thank for the informations yoshirotokagewaki, I think it's possible if we think that way, that they divorced for this. But a bit difficult to trust for a European like me, cause I really don't understand why ppl don't like others just because of nationality >_<

Okay, well. Where to start?

Myspace. Pointlessneedles, the only Miyavi Myspace you should be looking at is his official one. There's no reason for him to make a personal Myspace under the name "Miyavi" since it's not even his real name. I don't have his official Myspace friended (I should go do that actually...) so if that's the one that sent out the bulletin- Awesome, my apologizes for disbelieving you. If it wasn't, well there you go.

Onto the political/Korean thing. Miyavi's stated that he didn't get along w/ his father. So if his bloodline comes from a political descent, Lee being Korean probably is not the only reason his parents divorced. Looking up Ishihara on Wikipedia I found three different 'Ishihara's. (Four others were relatives of Shintaro Ishihara. His younger brother, and three of his four sons.) There's Shintaro Ishihara the governor of Tokyo (obviously), Shinobu Ishihara the ophthalmologist, the actress Satomi Ishihara, and guitarist Shinichiro Ishihara. Looking on Google I also found various other Ishihara names. Heck, there's an Ishihara politician here in the States.
So who knows. Maybe he's actually related to that Shinichiro Ishihara and music runs in his blood. It's easy to make a correlation to someone who's family is of higher power. (the "Vice President" in Miyavi's case) People can understand such a scenario with out too much effort. I assume that's what Miyavi was going for. Now I'm not saying it isn't possible for him to be somehow related to Shintaro Ishihara (though Miyavi'd have to be more directly related to a cousin of his or something), I just think you're reading too much into this. We're just fans who can make all the perceptions, observations, and interpretations we want. Only Miyavi knows the truth.

Besides... Miyavi's loud and obnoxious, and would probably bring shame to a political family xD;!

Well he's said his last name is Ishihara. As for his first name... he never stated what it is, and I don't know if the name that's plastered all over the internet is true or not. I'm not one to spread rumors, so maybe I'll just point you in the right direction.
From what I've heard, the name "Miyabi" is a play off of his real name. 窶ｰﾃｫ is also read as 'masa' and is the last character of his name.


So, wee~ Have fun finding it on the internet. It's easy to do.
 
much sites say it is Takamasa Ishihara and if you say 雅 is also ead as masa then Takamasa could be right
 
But 窶ｰﾃｫ can also be read as "ga" ... ;

So maybe it could be *something*-ga- Ishihara ?

There are waaay too many of "Miyavi's -real- name" out there =P
So I won't trust any of the sources until he himself feels like telling
...

xD Let's fan-stalk the Ishihara people to see how many are there with names ending in "ga" or "masa"

But then again D: maybe his last name isn't even Ishihara =o~

Any similarities there XD? Along with the fact that Miyavi's stated Totchi to be an idol of his. He could've cleverly come up with a name that coincided.

Miyavi posted a new journal. It's pretty pointless. No new information regarding his band. Just a bunch of sound effects, saying he 'expressed the pains of labor', and then gave a short excerpt from We Love You.
Miyavi's always making metaphors, so maybe the child birth thing correlates to music making? So then that would mean he's finishing up writing and/or recording things, which means a release sometime soon 8D!?
Don't get your hopes up.

Stay solo? After he just told us THREE MONTHS AGO he was joining a band? (And continuing his solo work, but that's besides the point) This man needs to make up his mind or I'm going to slap him silly.
 
I`m pretty glad that he is staying a solo artist but it is not sure

Oh no!!! I would love seeing him in a band >< Though I love him as a solo artist, I just wish he could do BOTH!!!! Oh well, maybe it would just be too much pressure on the part of Miyavi-kun But with his skills, HE CAN DO IT ANYWAY!!! It just occurred to me that maybe he wouldn't really want to work with gackt after all... Though he might've been in good terms with Yoshiki, I have this feeling that Gackt's a little bit more like a "rival" to Miyavi... well the two of them are just SOOOOOOOOOOOO good and young and their impulses can just put some 'wa-wa' s on the scene, like when the two of them wants to exert too much creativity on the band that they'll tend to overlap with each other's roles Hope that's not the case simply because..... I LOVE SEEING MIYAVI GIVING TOO MUCH SURPRISES!!!!! neo-visualism..... back-up shrieks.... leather.... make-up.... wrist-cutting guitar moves.... Visual KEI!!!!!

Ok, first of all....HELLO EVERYONE!!! yea i'm new here lol anyhoo....where do you guys order your cd's from? Cause i'm trying to find a site that sells Miyavi CD's at really good prices.....any ideas:? I would be very greatful and love you foreeeeeeeeeeeeever lol!

(Cd japan's better but Ebay has better prices... So it's up to you to choose o.o

I've also seen some of Miyavi's CD's on Suncoast, but those have to be pre-ordered and they only have very few of them available.

Someone mentioned buying CDs? Sometimes that can be really tricky. Some places stock up on Chinese bootlegged versions. When I'm at anime conventions (that's where I buy mine ) I look around the different CD places to see which ones are the authentic Japanese. A good way to check is the written disclaimer on the back of the CD that's usually in English. The fakes butcher it like crazy. xD; I was just at a convention in February (Megacon) and it was packed with Miyavi CDs. So yeah, next convention in May I'm gonna be burning a hole in my pocket with Miyavi (and hopefully DBSK) merchandise 8D!

and yeah, Gackt and Miyavi may be cute together but in the long run, their personalities aren't just SOOOOOOooooo compatible (well, as I think)....




not quite our Miyavi.. coz it's the MIYABI but I love him like that anyway

And yes when you buy very good Cds it could be expensive, if you bought them on cdjapan or stuffs like that the price is the same as in japan, but the price to send them >_< OMFG it's almost the same as a CD........ The only way to do when you want to buy it from japan is to go in japan, or buy a lot and the sending price is the same for one CD or many, so many is better ^__^ I don't know for ebay or other stuffs like that....
I love the Miyavi/ Gackts fangirls fight and the expression of Meevs and Gackt when they don't have fans anymore XDDDD

Aha. Don't forget you're new here (no offense). Compared to how this place use to be, it's dead. We would go through at least three pages a day. Now we're lucky to get three posts. Granted that was mostly the Miyavi's Angels spamming up a storm, but that's besides the point XD!
