I have never denied my love for Miyavi. He is beyond awesome and amazing. Hence why I idolize him. However I don't want to be one of those stupid fangirls that imagines themselves being proposed to by the guy.

And before you know it your writeing poetry about him your pining over him and everytime you hear or see him with anybody else you turn into the incredible hulk and pine for three days with a packet of crisps and a 50 % extra free bar of cadburys chocolate *sniff*

EXACTLY. If something copyrighted is posted and the company finds it, it's not the PERSON who posted that's at fault. It's the FORUM at fault.

That site that I posted earlier has some VERY nice translations.
I'd love to discuss some of them, cause they're VERY... what's a good word.
They make a big impact o.o

I personally liked the Ippiki Ookami Ron translation. You read it and you want to go Wow, is this really how he thinks? HOWEVER, You have to stop yourself and think.
Yameteyo Shite Sawaranaide is from a girl's perspective, no?

Was he a Lone Wolf growing up (maybe even after he grew up), or is he just that good at perceptions that he can constantly write from different ones?

You have to wonder how much of his lyrics are an actual insight to himself or an insight into others.

..ive been searin around for lyrics. for that stupid speech. and honestly, Japenese people just write better lyrics. all my amerdi-chan/ english stuff..can not comapre.
and i have a lot of english speaking music. it just amazes me.
siigh. i love JRock. ooh so much.

and miyavi. that boy. and his lyrics. just..his essence...musically...wins my heart.
the only thing i can think to say, is that i love it.

XD Yes do embrace "Bug Hug." Infact, that's what I've been calling you! I'm shocked you didn't see it earlier.

The one thing people seem to overlook when critiquing Miyavi is his lyrics. They'll say how yeah, he doesn't have the best voice, but wow look at those guitar skills!

Yes his guitar skills are amazing, but look at those lyrics! I can't write for crap (I do lovely essays... but something poetic? You're kidding me, right?) so maybe that's why I'm so blown away by them. They're very straight forward yet having multiple layers to them, ya know?

Miyavi's voice isn't bad it's just not good either.
Many props to the man because you can definately tell his voice has improved over the years.

BTW when i first heard Miyavis voice i thought huh o__0 but then i found it kinda beutiful Miyavi has one of those voices like Bono it isn't traditinol but he can convey so much emotion with it he barly needs words
Hi voice is kinda like marmite ^_^
Sometimes the world most beutiful well trained voice will convey the emotion of a peanut
And a voice that is kinda wobbly like a baby dear and kinda unique and untrained will make you cry with words you don't even understand it isn't so much the perfection of the voice it is the power of that voice

Hi everyone!
hmmm... men in skirts usually doesn't work for me but somehow Miyavi pulls it off.
I like the clip of Miyavi singing "hit the road jack". I found it easier to appreciate his voice when I could understand what he was singing. I was like YAY he can sing! I have only recently started looking into his music.

He's uber-adorable-dorkiness is what got me interested in the first place

I think Miyavi's voice is sexy when he's singing. It's gruff and scratchy and beautiful and yum. In fact all the girls I introduce Miyavi songs to go, "damn...that voice." then promptly run off for a 'bathroom break'. *nod* it's true.

I agree, however. The sound of ones voice is completely different from their ablility to sing on key.

I love the sound of Miyavi's voice. It is incredibly sexy, emotional and unique. One of the reasons I'm so intrigued by him.
Still, I'm not about to deny the fact that he can't hit notes on cue as well as he'd probably like to xD! Not like it's something he doesn't already know ^.~

I... unfortunately have no idea what songs you're talking about. Lyrics are usually the last thing I look up when getting into an artist. So Miyavi's lyrics are still horribly new to me ^^;;

The Ducky song of Meevs i think is wonderful when everybody else is singing about beuty and grace he sings about being happy about yourself and who you are not longing to be the swan i wonder if Meevs is talking about himself or if he is like many artists the great observer ?

Miyavi's imperfect voice makes it all the better to listen to. i love the way it is and i wouldnt want him to have the perfect voice all over coz it wouldnt work. the imperfection makes it perfect for me!!!

@Lolli: Your lyrics are quite beautiful. It would take me days to write stuff like that...I can't convey emotion easily.

I will admit...Miyavi's voice isn't perfect. I think it adds to his charm, personallly....that's why I love it. I mean, anyone can have an beautiful voice, but that doesn't mean they can express emotion the way he does. Plus, I think one would have to have an deeper appreciation for Meev's music. When I listen, I also listen for compositon and arrangements, so it's easier for me to fall for his songs than those who only listens for voice.

Now I understand why my sister is completely smitten with Gackt and "Laruku" where as (horrible I know) I find them boring. I'm completely spellbound by Miyavi and she looks at him like he's some annoying punk.

I think I found where my problem was in my letter to teh Meevs. Even though I still like my message in it, I need to go at it from another angle. I know that doesn't sound like it should make a difference but it does XD
So anyway, I do believe I have found the right angle and things should come to me MUCH easier now =)

^.^ I actually like Gackt and L'Arc. You really have to find the right Gackt songs to get into, like "Lust for Blood". I think that is an beautiful song. I listen to L'Arc, not only for Hyde's voice (which I will admit does things to me), but for Tetsu bass, he's a God on that thing. lol.

No problem. Just make sure your letter comes out the way you want it to. Besides, Meev isn't back in Japan...so I'd rather it get there when he's there.
