does anyone know the name of the band Miyavi was in ☝ and does anyone have a picture of him in the band please

Miyavi name was Miyabi when he was in Due'le Quartz. When the band broke up, he announced he was going solo and changed his name to Miyavi. Though with the Japanese pronuciation, the B and V sound the same.

Ok! You could even make a poster and put random pictures of Miyavi on it and maybe pics of yourself (like holding up a paper sayin "I Love Miyavi", "Miyavi is teh Greatest" or "MYV Rocks etc. You know, just be creative. After all, anything goes.

duckies. chocolate. letter proclaiming that you love him and want him to know that. random things he can sing into in his PV's. a picture of you with a sign saying I LOVE MIYAVI or anything else you want said sign to say. a hug. some nail polish. some make up.

seriously, the possibilites are endless. lets show this boy how its done!

But really you can send him anything. A card, a picture, a stuffed animal, jewelry, heck maybe even guitar strings XD Anything you can think of would be perfect whether it be alone or not ^^

but i don't seem to be able to find a ballard as such i was wondering has Miyavi recorded a ballard

I can't believe that we're actually doing this! I'm just so exited.

Yesterday I started to draw a picture to Miyavi. I'm going to finish it during the weekend and hopefully I get my stuff to the post office next week. I don't have any exams next week so I have lots of time to finish it. :>

AHA! :joyful: After much lurking creepy stalker-ness of this forum, I have finally decided to make an account just to join! Perhaps this is due to the late hours of the evening a.k.a. early hours of the morning?? No one really knows.

I really like the idea of sending him a group package thingy (the "correct" term for it has escaped me at the moment...) I might contribute to it, once I can think of something outlandish enough for deh Meevster.

I think one of my favorite points on the JAMe Interview (aside from touring in the U.S. of course) is that he's a fan of Ani Difranco!! SCORE!!!!!!! XD I always told myself, if I was to ever meet him in person, that would be the one artist I would introduce him to (the music, not the artist herself, lol.. I wish). Now I must find other things to subject him to shall the opportunity ever arise...

All-in-all, he's the first J-Rocker I've liked, and he's one of my favorite acoustic guitar artists, and his lyrics are real and I love his talent and dedication. He's been the final straw in finally getting myself to do what I want, and not just sit around and procrastinate. I've finally started to seriously study Japanese language, and I'm planning on studying abroad in Japan for a semester, AND I've taken up acoustic guitar (though I do suck).
 
As a quick afterthought of UC Berkeley:

Some facts...

It's the #1 public university in the U.S., and the Shanghai Jiao Tong University Institute for Higher Education ranked Berkeley the 4th top University in the World.

As part of the UC system, it has an Education Abroad Program, which has a number of options to Japan, and their japanese language classes kick uber-*** (or so I've heard).

And now, something totally Miyavi-related (don't worry, I wouldn't be that rude!)

His english has gotten better (for example... have you TRIED singing the english line in 'Girls Be Ambitious'???? DO it!! I DARE YOU!!!) and I think his voice has gotten better as well. (compare the two versions of itoshii hito... he's perfected the louder higher notes!!)

Speaking of Itoshii Hito, I think that the first one is more depressing for me (Woot for emo!) and the newer one is more... bittersweet? Maybe it's cuz it's got the pop twist to it. And for some reason, the PV for Kimi Ni Negai Wo reminded me of Smashing Pumpkins' "Tonight, Tonight" (this sentence TOTALLY doesn't belong in this paragraph)

@Dreamweaver: Welcome to Jref. Home of the Miyavi lovers. It's always nice to have a new Miyavi fan. So enjoy you stay, but beware...we are crazy. I'm happy that Miyavi has inspired you to do so much, he has for me as well (One of the other reasons I play guitar, along side hide of course).

Ahahah my professor went to Berkeley. He also said it was hippyville and he's definitely still a hippy lol!

Miyavi's English has definately gotten better o.o! I want to cringe every time I listen to Ashita, Genki Ni Naare... "With spring wind, breathin' in a breeze" x.x But I can't because I love that song too much XD;

I think the older Itoshii Hito was more depressing too. That one I could understand it being more of a sad love song. The new one I get a sense of struggle. A devastation from loneliness. Like an emotional and mental breakdown. Which messes with my brain because the lyrics and PV really don't agree with that ^^;;;
To me, Kimi ni Negai wo is bittersweet. You get such an intense feeling from the song and really you should just be kinda down after listening to it. Yet everytime that little snippet at the end with the guitar plays I can't help but feel content and smile >>
I'm weird I know v.v But I do agree with you on the PV being like Tonight, Tonight =D...


Precious4e, I've only seen the cover for the calender as well, but I did hear that it'll have 500 polariod pictures and the dates are handwritten by Miyavi. That should be interesting o.o

So yeah...I asked JaME for the address to send this package (I had it, I just wanted to make sure). So they emailed me back and said they asked PS Company for it and let them know that we are sending a package. So, I'm guessing... Miyavi knows...we are sending a package.
