Cities start to strike names from resident registries
The number of missing centenarians stands at a total of 281, a Kyodo News tally showed Saturday, as local governments have started to remove their names from resident registries.

Quite shocking news in Japan, and a special TV programme was broadcasted last night by NHK. Most of the case must be pension frauds. If local governments begin to check elderly of 90-years old or over, the number of missing elderly may increase...

Does similar case happen in your country ?

It doesn't really happen that much in the United States, although it does obviously occur once in awhile.
